Back again!! We now have a top three! Baby girl due in five weeks! No negativity to any of the names please as she will more then likely end up as one, I do know they aren't to everyone's taste. But our current list is;

Juniper (my absolute favourite)
Pepper (husband adores this name)
Nessie (we both quite like)

Just opinion on which you would go for please as I said no negativity on any, took us forever to agree on three 😂

Thank you ladies xxx

Juniper is lovely ( nn June)

Nessa or Vanessa is nice ( nn Nessie)

Nope to Pepper ( a lot of Brits pronounce Peppa as pepper and she'd be confused with the pig)

EmphaticPeriod · 04/05/2021 16:58

Juniper or Vanessa nn nessie

Sleepyquest · 04/05/2021 16:59

Juniper is gorgeous

If you watched AHS you wouldn't choose pepper. No negativity, just saying

LaLaLouella · 04/05/2021 16:59

Just joining the voices saying that Pepper, while cute, is too similar to Peppa. I would not inflict a lifetime of being snorted at on my child...

Nessie is alright but a bit too nicknamey for me personally, and also I immediately thought of the Loch Ness Monster.

I think Juniper is lovely but if your husband doesn't like it then you need to go back to the drawing board really - there must be a name out there you both love!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 04/05/2021 17:00

@UpTheJunktion I did actually quite like Hettie!! As our surname starts with H and I like the alliteration names! But there isn't many names starting with H, not that we like x

Nessie is nice if it's a nickname e.g. for Vanessa. Juniper is lovely too

Jennyfromtheculdesac · 04/05/2021 17:00

@AnxiousAnnie86

I may put the idea to husband as Pepper for a nickname from Juniper, see if I can swing it that way :)
Why with a lovely and like Juniper would you chose the nickname Pepper?!
Ellmau · 04/05/2021 17:01

Juniper seems the most likely not to get unfortunate nicknames.

Chanel05 · 04/05/2021 17:01

I like Juniper of the three.

Nessie and Pepper are a big no for me. Baby names should always be reflected on as the 35/42 year old with the same name.

Bancha · 04/05/2021 17:01

Juniper is nicest, by a long way. Nessie is awful. Pepper is sweet as a nickname. And could actually work as a nickname for Juniper, I think.

Poppins2016 · 04/05/2021 17:01

I'd go for Juniper. You could probably use Pepper/Peppa/Pippa as a nickname (I'm basing this on the 'iper' sound at the end or Juniper).

Juniper also sounds quite nice for a June baby, assuming she makes her appearance in the month she's due!

Todayisanabsolutevanilladay · 04/05/2021 17:02

Darcey tbh.

Pepper is a dog's name.

Thing with saying don't say anything negative is that out there in the world people will react negatively or positively. I'd want honest opinions on an anonymous forum not just 'kind' ones.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 04/05/2021 17:02

@Jennyfromtheculdesac compromise :) he can nickname her the name he loves and I get the name i love. Everyone doesn't have tk call her it if they hate it so much. My dad calls me a totally different name to anyone else, always has since I was a child

I think Juniper is adorable. Congratulations on your baby OP.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 04/05/2021 17:05

@Poppins2016 she hopefully will, she's due by c section on June 18th. Xx

I love, love, love Juniper, nn Juni or Juno. Unfortunately my partner would never agree. Also think Robin and Sybil are great options. Maybe Harriet, nn Hattie? Good luck!

Wotrewelookinat · 04/05/2021 17:08

Juniper. I’m a vet and there are soooooo many dogs called Pepper, particularly Schnauzers. And Nessie lives in Loch Ness.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 04/05/2021 17:09

@DotDotDotDotDot I looove Harriet 😱but a very close cousin with the same surname has a Harry :( so can't do that! X

I like the names in the order you have listed them

8dpwoah · 04/05/2021 17:10

Juniper's nice, I think Pepper might lead to her having to explain a lot and possibly also Peppa pig unfortunately which would get very tedious for her.

Nessie I wouldn't go for but a name with Ness in it and Nessie as a nickname could work well.

Hoppinggreen · 04/05/2021 17:11

My Mum said that if you had nothing nice to say then say nothing at all

GiveMeTulipsfromAmsterdam · 04/05/2021 17:12

None are my preference but Pepper Pig.... poor child will hear this sung over and over.

Nessie - Scotland - the monster

MooseMoose · 04/05/2021 17:13

Juniper - not keen, but probably the best of the three. I prefer Juno.
Pepper - she'll be teased mercilessly due to Peppa Pig.
Nessie - again, lots of potential for teasing with the Loch Ness Monster. I do however love the Welsh Nessa.

OddsNSodsBitsNBobs · 04/05/2021 17:13

Juniper is the closest to a real name so I'd go with that unless your surname is Berry.....

clpsmum · 04/05/2021 17:14

I'm in Scotland so definitely not Nessie for me lol

Juniper closely followed by pepper

Good luck hope all goes well xx
