I don't hate the name, if you had it as the birth certificate name and just used Ray, I think that's quite nice. The Ray-Monde pronunciation is ludicrous.

Whether or not you like Raymond for a boy, it is truly utterly dreadful for a girl.
Your poor baby, I feel genuinely sorry for her landed with that name.

I'm normally open minded on names people choose, but this is one that I would actually feel sorry for the child.

I can only think of the old man who lived next door to us when I was a child (he wasn't the most pleasant person either!).

Please don't sidle your baby girl with that name.
