So with the announcement that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting her 3rd child, what are your thoughts on baby names? I know it's early days...

Alexandra

Or

Frederick

For me...

Alex Evelyn. Could be announced at once!

Fresta · 04/09/2017 16:10

I think it will be Emily for a girl and Fred for a boy!

I assume about 10 weeks. Said announced early due to HG so early April?

lizzieoak · 04/09/2017 16:18

Keith. I'm definitely getting a Keith vibe. Kiley for a girl for shizzle.

Kierans · 04/09/2017 16:19

@SuburbanRhonda - is that supposed to be funny? Hmm

tinymeteor · 04/09/2017 16:21

Grin at Prince Neil

Riversleep · 04/09/2017 16:27

I was thinking Philippa after sister and grandad. What about Francesca? I think it goes a bit better with the other names than Frances. Boys I don't know. Albert, Edward, Frederick?

AuntieStella · 04/09/2017 16:27

Isabella, Alice or Victoria

or

Frederick, Robert, Rupert

(I don't think it'll be Thomas - that's the name of Prince George's school)

Marcipex · 04/09/2017 16:34

Alice
Frederick

Androidsdreamofelectricsheep · 04/09/2017 16:39

Threda or Thirdis.

RuncibleSp00n · 04/09/2017 16:40

Nooooooo to Frances or Alice!!!!! They'll suddenly become popular and everywhere, and my family will soon look derivative! ShockSad

RuncibleSp00n · 04/09/2017 16:41

How about Thea / Theodore?

Or Philip?

Marcipex · 04/09/2017 16:42

I quite like Thirdis. It has a Narnian feel.

ASDismynormality · 04/09/2017 16:46

I think Victoria but Olivia would be good as Princess Olivia sounds lovely.

Whinesalot · 04/09/2017 16:46

Eleanor known as Ellie
Matilda
Victoria

Arthur
Frederick

Argeles · 04/09/2017 16:52

Alexandra - I was convinced Charlotte was going to be named Alexandra, and I think they'll use it if they have another girl.

If not, Adelaide or Alice.

For a boy: Nicholas or Alexander.

TurquoiseOwI · 04/09/2017 16:56

@Argeles - George's middle names are Alexander Louis... That's probably why and they definitely won't use Alexander for a boy Grin

MrsGusset · 04/09/2017 16:56

Don't think they'd use Alexandra as we already have a Princess Alexandra.

Alice
Caroline
Frances

Frederick
David
Michael

SleepingStandingUp · 04/09/2017 16:57

Xavier and Persephone

Argeles · 04/09/2017 17:01

My first option of Nicholas then, or maybe Xavier - not Alexander!

Butterymuffin · 04/09/2017 17:03

Caroline would work as a reference to both
Kate's mum and to Charles (going Latinate). Alexandra or Victoria also likely.

They don't have as many good boy options IMO.

HoratioNightboy · 04/09/2017 17:23

I'd say it's unlikely to be Alexander, James, Robert or David, as these were names of Scottish kings and I doubt they'd use anything where the Scottish regnal number is higher. Although I suppose they could use a middle name in the event of becoming king to avoid the issue, as the duke of Windsor breifly did.

Would be nice to see them use something other than the same staid old names though.

MammieBear · 04/09/2017 17:24

Doubt they will use Alexandra with the male version being one of Georges names.

LucyTheLocalBike · 04/09/2017 17:32

Arthur Henry Francis

Victoria Anne Frances
