Yay! The hat-trick! All three DCs' names have now been mentioned Grin.

Whisky it's Poppy. I constantly see posters on here describing it as a "dog's name".

NoShitShylock · 26/02/2017 22:27

Tiger well aren't you quite the model citizen.
I didn't say 'please list names associated with the lower class so we can all laugh' I said names that make your toes curl.
I think you need get off your high horse. It's not an attack.
I like names, always have done and I'm interested.
I'm not 'chortling'. Cheers.

Santa mine is Lucy don't know why so many people think it's a dogs name Hmm

DD1's name has been mentioned as being wishy washy so I dare not say DS's name as even though it's not been mentioned it comes under a few categories & it would out me

Macaroni22 · 26/02/2017 22:31

Wayne
Steven
Chelsea
Connor
Tyler
Kenzie

ASDismynormality · 26/02/2017 22:38

One of my DDs names has been mentioned a few times, surprised my sons hasn't.

I really dislike the names Ruth, Harley and Gracie (But think Grace is lovely).

OnHold · 26/02/2017 22:40

The names mentioned are so predicable.

Shifty sneery thread.

MorningHeavyWeight · 26/02/2017 22:41

Oh dear, I appear to have mistaken sarcasm for contrition based upon follow on posts from OP.

tigerdriverII · 26/02/2017 22:42

'I'm not chortling.'

Not bloody much. Touchy touchy

As the bard says : The lady doth protest too much, methinks

troodiedoo · 26/02/2017 22:43

Sienna - just makes me think of crayola crayons.

Heard "merlin" in the park the other week. There was much eye rolling by me.

Mrsknackered · 26/02/2017 22:45

Morning How so? I've apologised for offending but stand by my thread choice.

OnHold not actually true though is it. Not everyone on here is saying 'naughty' names as sly Mumsnetters like to put it. Some are purely putting across their dislike for a name. Precious Hmm

I bet the name Jayden features more than any other name.

Still if it makes you feel better to upset other posters for your own amusment. Crack on.

MorningHeavyWeight · 26/02/2017 22:52

I'm confused as, although you said you were sorry, you have become aggressive and defensive, which led me to believe you didn't mean it when you apologised for causing offence. That's how.

Vinorosso74 · 26/02/2017 22:52

Another disliker of the hyphenated Mae/Mai/May. Nevaeh, Jayden, flower names for girls except for Violet, Frankie, Alfie, odd spellings of names. That said my own can be spelt with one of two letters at the start, mine being the less usual way even though it's phonetically correct.

Actually, I know an 85 year old female Merlyn...it's quite an old name. Welsh, I think.

dalmatianmad · 26/02/2017 22:52

Phoebe and darcy just awful

Mrsknackered · 26/02/2017 22:54

Morning I apologised to those that I had offended. Because for that I am sorry. I am not then going to back down and admit I'm an awful person to certain posters who think they are way better than us who have an opinion on a name.

OnHold I believe it's Noah, actually.

Crack on sunshine

Mrsknackered · 26/02/2017 22:56

Personally I don't see this thread being any worse than someone saying, 'opinions on the name Rosamund' and then commenting 'It makes my toes curl'
Which is what happens on the baby name forum, a lot.

Still no sign of my dd's names - or the dogs'. Hubby is there, along with me and ds. Hope I don't have too long to wait for them to appear :) There is nothing wrong with the thread OP. Surely nobody would be naïve enough to think that everyone would love their name choices. If I was going to be offended that my children's names would be on the 'unliked' list I wouldn't have clicked. Simple! Some people just like to be offended...

Singingforsanity · 26/02/2017 22:57
