Fenton

Adolf, Beelezebub, Satan, Lucifer, Jezabel, Lolita.

Any drug including alcoholic drinks (I taught an Opium - just imagine what she was like, yep just like that).

Parents/grandparents names, personally don't like the Little Johnny Junior or Little Johnny II.

My name is shite.

Not literally, I mean I've just never really liked it. But it's U. So well done you, mother.

AngiBolen · 27/01/2012 22:12

Both my first, middle and DD's name is here.

The males in my family are getting away lightly tonight.

I love the name Lara, but it doesn't work with our surname. Sad

SensitivityChip · 27/01/2012 22:14

Cuthbert.

My ds1 is called Satan, though. At home at least. Grin

manicinsomniac · 27/01/2012 22:15

Right, fine, my younger daughter is listed about 5 times on this thread now (Jessica - seems totally average top 10, harmless to me!) so I am out for revenge. Didn't list any of the gazillions of names I wouldn't choose before but now I will - petty? moi? Grin

Anne, Agatha, Agnes, Annie, Alicia, Aisha, Ashleigh, Angel, Audrey, Bonnie, Beth, Beatrice, Bridget, Britney, Claudia, Constance, Chelsea, Courtney, Cheyenne, Caroline, Candice, Carly, Crystal, Destiny, Delilah, Emma, Eve, Ellie, Eloise, Elizabeth, Edith, Frances, Faye, Gemma, Harriet, Harmony, Ivy, Julia, Jenna, Josie, Kyla, Kelsey, Keeley, Kayleigh, Kylie, Kelly, Kerry, Kirsty, Kate, Karen, Kimberly, Laura, Lillian, Lois, Lola, Libby, Louise, Laiba, Liberty, Lucia, Marie, Margaret, Martha, Millie, Miley, Morgan, Michaela, Michelle, Mariam, Myra, Nancy, Nevaeh, Nora, Nina, Nadine, Orla, Poppy, Penelope, Rachel, Ruby, Roxanne, Rose, Shannon, Serenity, Stella, Shelby, Sydney, Tallulah, Tamara, Teresa, Tia, Tina, Ursula, Valerie, Veronica, Wendy, Yvonne, Zelda.

How cathartic Wink

LineRunner · 27/01/2012 22:18

Damn you, manic, you still didn't list my name!

nagynolonger · 27/01/2012 22:18

Any names that can be used for both boys and girls. IMO you shouldn't have to ask if DC is a boy or girl once you know its name.

In addition to that

Nigel, Percy, Norman,Ernest, and Blossom

TidyDancer · 27/01/2012 22:18

Oh. :(

A very similar name to mine has been mentioned on here. First time I have ever seen it mentioned in a negative context.

The poster who dislikes it has mentioned liking a really awful name though, so I am comforted by their extremely poor taste. Grin

Personally, I dislike any names that are 'try too hard'. Anything that seems trendy but alternative, like Ptolemy or Hero. And also the Kayleigh, Carly, Jade brigade. They are icky to me.

Popoozle · 27/01/2012 22:19

Bingo card tick - DD has now been mentioned. Just DS2 to go and we have a full house Grin.

Really though, it's a good thing that people like different names - otherwise, we'd all be called Bob wouldn't we? Would get a bit confusing Grin.

TheCuntwormUnderfoot · 27/01/2012 22:21

Nicola and Dingofelcher

TidyDancer · 27/01/2012 22:22

Neither DS or DD's names are on this thread. My full name isn't, neither is DP's.

Kayzr · 27/01/2012 22:22

Yay now it's mentioned 3 times.

blameitonthecaffeine · 27/01/2012 22:37

My whole family of 7 is safe so far apart from youngest's middle name.

I wouldn't call a girl:
Henrietta, Octavia, Persephone, Pandora, Hermione etc
Jane, Ann, Linda, Pamela, Susan, Nancy etc
Kayley, Hayley, Kylie, Miley, Stacy, Tracy, Britney, Whitney etc

I wouldn't call a boy:
Rupert, Orlando, Hugo, Frederick, Ptolemy etc
Nigel, Barry, Colin, Kevin, Graham etc
Rhys, Riley, Sean, Shane, Wayne, Dean, Dexter etc

Nothing wrong with any of those names, they're just not to my taste

KenDoddsDadsDog · 27/01/2012 22:40

My name and my sisters are mentioned here. At least this isn't a thread about chav names for once.

gomez · 27/01/2012 23:42

Yay full house I think. All three DCs have been named and shamed on here :-)

Clytemnestra.

The playground teasing would not be fair!

Florence or Laurence. . Just because you couldn't with my surname. Love the names though

Theas18 · 27/01/2012 23:57

Apologies to any mumsnetters with at little Clytemnestra. I do apologise. Keep the stress on the Y says "eye" And you might get away with it.

Those who have Florence's and Laurence's. I'm a wee bit jealous!

LineRunner · 28/01/2012 00:01

MaryZ, I have only listed Barak Obama and Spunkmeyer.

But I take your point.

I can't bear Poppy, Daisy, Milly, Tilly, Holly, Maisy, Molly.....and all those cutesy diminutive flowery names that seem to be all the rage.

Yuck. Just picture them at 50.
