OK, final name thread! One of us will be disappointed, who should it be?

We have two name choices. Neither one of us is happy about the other's choice. We have been through every name we can think of and, without a word of a lie, there is not one single name in the entire world that we agree on, believe me, we've tried and it's beginning to grind us down. We've just got totally different taste in names. So we've accepted that one of us will have to get used to a name we're not wild about.

Anyone else in the same position, what did you do? Is it possible to live with a name that's just ok and not The Name?

Susannah is a fabulous name. Much prefer it to Madeleine and Verity.

If he tries to do that, you simply don't engage. You just say 'No.' in a flat, toneless voice and go and do something else. As they say - no is a complete sentence!

Fabulous, and goes really well with Harriet, in a sort of 18th century way. Lovely.

My absolute favourite period in history is the 18th century. I've just done a little skip of joy :)

Susannah Verity Violet is lovely.

But I wanted to suggest Veryan which is one of my absolute favourite names. Softer than Verity but still unusual and a bit Cornish.

Please don't bring Cornwall into it. I love Cornwall and all things Cornish too but I haven't got the energy to start again!

Some persuasion of the Cornish variety

The only Verity[love it] I knew was shortened to Vera[which I hate]
I love Madeleine and have a dgd with that name.
