I'd always use stitch markers, otherwise I can never work out where a round starts/finishes.

lucysmam · 12/08/2021 15:32

Definitely stitch markers, I like the little plastic safety pin ones!

I've just made a re-usable water balloon! Just the one for now mind, the chenille yarn's actually quite hard work Grin I'll do another one later on & just do them as & when I cba. The yarn's not the best quality, very cheap in fact, I just wanted to try them out but maybe I should have spent a little bit more 🤷‍♀️

Thank you! Just ordered some stitch markers from Amazon. The joy of Amazon prime!!

Can I join?! I started crochet in January and now have made 6 baby blankets, in the process of making a large granny square blanket in varying shades of purple for my dd. I bought a pattern to make a v neck baby cardi and I am struggling to get the front straight. But this morning I did my first willow square and love it- easier than I thought it would be.

@cookiemonster5 in the meantime, use a snippet of different coloured yarn under the top of your first stitch & then remove as you get back round to it & pop in your new first stitch (hope that makes sense?).

Welcome @itsme! It's lovely that we're getting a few new faces on the thread. Your willow square is beautiful- lovely colours!

I notice the thread is near capacity! Time to start no.6. I might create it now, as I'm going to be manically packing and preparing for our camping trip this evening and tomorrow! I'll post a link when I've done it...

Hello @itsme lovely square! Very neat!

@lucysmam stupid question but how do the water balloons work? Do you just get them soaked with water and throw them or? The yarn looks lovely and soft, handy that they'll be thrown at people 😁😂

Yes @cookiemonster5 stitch markers are so helpful or a safety pin if you have one handy? But your circle looks great!
