Inspired by the Woolly Hugs "Kinship Projects" colour palettes I have decided to create some on my own to share with fellow crocheters & knitters (and anyone else really!)
These are absolutely free to use & I hope you enjoy them as they are or a starting point for your own variations.

Oh and I'd love to see photos of any projects! Smile

Fab idea!

I'm not allowed to buy anymore wool Sad

I have 4 64 litre crates stuffed full, and bits and bobs squirrelled around the house I've got to use first

I've just ordered the wool for the waterfall colourway - to make a cosy stripe blanket for my sister. I luuurve those colours! You have a great eye for complementary colours - I'm in awe Smile

tribpot · 01/08/2016 11:04

Some really nice colourways here. You could put them on a blog quite easily if you wanted to, just so that people could bookmark the page and you could add to it - maybe something like Wordpress?

Fullofnachos · 01/08/2016 14:15

I'm probably being really stupid, but I just tried ordering the colour combination waterfall you have done, but can't figure out how to order it on style craft website! Do they have the names listed?

tribpot · 01/08/2016 14:19

You can't buy direct from Stylecraft. A good stockist is Wool Warehouse - that's a link direct to the SDK page. In the drop down box at the top right you can see each of the colours listed by code, with the name given too.

Fullofnachos · 01/08/2016 14:34

Ahh thank you!!

KittensandKnitting · 01/08/2016 14:59

I'm not much of a knitter (I really should change my name!) much more into sewing :) but I just love these colour combos, a little addicted to them! And as result of looking at them have just spent a fortune on fabric in one of the colour combinations so thank you for this!

Do you have a Pintrest board? As i would love to follow these one there.

I'm on Pinterest but I haven't tried blogging.
Maybe next year.

bunny
Yay, I bet she'll love it!
I suggest you look at Attic24's (Lucy) Ripple stitch pattern on Pinterest. Free pattern, dead easy and looks awesome - also just perfect for a water theme.

Thanks again for more lovely comments!

Yep, any of these colourways would look great as a ripple.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 01/08/2016 16:58

Thank you for posting these, I'm a big fan of Stylecraft too Smile

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 01/08/2016 17:33

Tea here comes yours!

  1. Lavender Tea Wink Sherbert, Cloud Blue, Aster, Lobelia, Violet, Bluebell, Lavender, Wisteria, Pistachio, Meadow, Cypress, Green, Kelly Green Grass green

I'm not 100% about "Lobelia" as a bit too dark for flower colours, but it balances out the depth of "Green", so I thought I'd rather include it as a suggestion.
You'll see if you think it goes or not.

I think whilst you're on a roll, I must commission at least one six colour fair-isle selection if you wouldn't mind. I am absolutely SHIT at picking out colours for fair isle (well, colours in general) and you need to get things which work together with some strong contrasts to make the designs work properly.

I will prob do the items in Jamieson & Smith but can adapt that from the Stylecraft palette.

I'd really like to do these mittens but with a purpley/blue palette, attached is the original colourway.

Challange accepted!
Is fair-isle the Scandinavian snow-pattern thing?

How about these for your mittens tribpot?

Based on the last photo, where colours are brightest.
The dark red is tricky as I think that's a multi coloured or varigates wool so I have 7 colours:
Matador & Claret ( the main colours I picked up in the deep red), Apricot, Empire, Sherbert, Mustard, Green. What do you think?

(Photo taken in strong natural light, I'll repeat it tomorrow in daylight)
