I'm making silver Christmas presents.

KurriKurri
I got a 4 pack of looms (different sizes), the make is Stitches and Threads, Quick Knit. It came with an instruction book crochet hook and yarn needle. You just need to buy the wool/yarn separately.

You can make hats, scarfs, shawls, blankets, socks, bags, tablet covers - lots of different things :)

lucysmam · 21/11/2015 19:37

toria, that's absolutely gorgeous!

MN is full of talented people.

I'm half way through the bodice of dd's dress. Would have been further but spent today arguing with my sewing machine .

Love the shawl Toria - and all the other things on here.

CoffeeAndOranges · 21/11/2015 20:09

Just finished a quick crochet blanket (chevron stitch) for my baby due today (but staying put hmph), trying to fathom how to make a fox motif for it. Already got the Santa hat and cocoon ready for the thank you/Christmas cards.

Also got a shawl on the hooks which I'm hoping to use as a scarf/cover up for breastfeeding.

One day I'll finish the granny square blanket I'm making for our bed, once I've made the extra 20 or so squares needed and found a time to spread them all out to join them all up.

And now I want to make a mobile to keep my baby entertained - I've seen a lovely one on Pinterest that's based on My Neighbour Totoro.

I think my 'nesting' has taken the form of crochet madness!!

CantSee4Looking · 21/11/2015 20:42

CoffeeAndOranges - that sounds like the best kind of nesting Grin Pinterest though is a horror for adding to the to do list. Go have a search for Quiet books. They look amazing but there will be no more little people here so totally pointless for me to make.

WhispersOfWickedness · 21/11/2015 20:58

Well, where to start?! BlushI am knitting DD a cardigan and a little blanket for her dolly. I'm halfway through sewing some Christmas bunting. I needle felted two snowmen yesterday. That might be it Hmm I'm jack of all trades, master of none Grin Will try and take some photos tomorrow Smile

KurriKurri · 21/11/2015 21:01

Thank you Oobedobe Smile that sounds like just the thing I want.

lucysmam · 21/11/2015 21:03

Ooh, CantSee, I like the look of the quiet books! Adding to my list! I think dd2 would like those Smile

They are pretty fabulous looking and very diverse in topic and nature. So tempting but like i said would be pointless here. And I have enough projects to keep me busy until around 2030 I reckon too, actually lets not be rash, make that 2020. A girl can always make time to add a project or two WinkGrin

FattyNinjaOwl · 22/11/2015 05:05

I finished DDs scarf. It actually looks better than the pic, not the best but we are happy with it.
(Ignore the baby sick on my clothes)

Daammmm gurllllss...

These are awesome! Shock

I'm still learning to sew. I haven't really made much since summer, but I have some fleece blankets I'm going to make by cutting strips and tying into knots. Nothing fantastic, but fleece is soft and warm so they'll be welcome gifts. :)

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 22/11/2015 06:33

I'm recovering from knitting poppies as a fundraiser for our local branch of the RCL. Just knitted myself a hat and now working on some convertible mittens

I'm a lapsed crafter, sort of lost the inclination, but saw some lovely wool and so have started crocheting a blanket for dd's bed. I've really started enjoying it too and I know I'll have to finish as dd keeps checking on progress. When I've done that I'm going to make a cushion or two for her bed as well.

BrideOfWankenstein · 22/11/2015 07:02

Crocheting some snowflakes for a friend of a friend. She's not very good at it, so asked me. They are very simple, but I really can't be arsed to do more than bare minimum. Especially when my DD's poncho on the knitting needles is unfinished.

I'm knitting my great nephew an Aran jacket, very slow.....
So many very talented people on here, quite envious!

mathanxiety · 22/11/2015 07:58

Hats off to one and all!

I am going to make a wreath using some Halloween candy that nobody wanted from a few years back ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81GHXfqxk%2BL.SL1500.jpg. I will hot glue them to a foam circle. Hopefully the finished product will smell cinnamony.

While I have the glue gun revved up I'm also going to gussy up a broken step ladder that I found in an alley to make it into a fancy cat roost. I have an old pair of holey soled boots with a fleecy lining that I am going to cut and then glue the leg part to the top step, and wrap some rope around the legs to make a scratching post, with rope on the two other steps too.

I've been working on a little embroidery on and off but it's slow.

lavendersun · 22/11/2015 08:05

Work has got in the way for me recently, the only thing I have really got on is a scarf on my loom. Random balls of wool in my stash that I thought would look good together.

Maud and Emerald - I absolutely love your jewellery and quilt.

I'm crocheting a blanket for my imminent baby and a throw for our sofa.

Kitsandkids · 22/11/2015 09:30

I'm knitting a baby hat for a friend who is due soon. It's taken me longer than expected, I think because I kept putting it off once I was on the bits with pictures on as it was a bit faffy. I'm nearly there now though.

After that I need to finish a Christmas hat I never finished for a friend's toddler last year, so I'm giving it to a relative's toddler this year. A friend with a shop wants a knitted ornament for her shop's Christmas tree. Another friend put up a picture of some knitted 'monster trousers' for baby on FB and said she wished she could knit, when she found out she was pregnant, so I'm going to try and make a pair for her. Another friend has a granddaughter due so I want to make something for her. And a relative is pregnant so I want to make something for her.

There are just not enough hours in the day!

HouseAnxiety · 22/11/2015 09:48

I've just finished this elf. Want to make more Christmas bits but not sure ŵhat...
