It is all done with inks brushed on lucysmum. Distress inks. And the tree is a rubber stamp.

It's my favourite style at the moment.

www.jeangreenhowe.com/booklets.html

It is the toy collection booklet that had the pterodactyl pattern.

OverScentedFanjo · 16/11/2015 18:40

How can I learn to crochet? I am left handed so makes things difficult. Can knit, but prefer the look of crochet.

SecretLocation · 16/11/2015 18:41

Great pictures! You are a clever lot! I'm almost too embarrassed to post mine, a minion scarf I made for DD. I currently have a Minecraft hat on my needles for DS. First attempt with circular needles but much less complicated than I expected!

Socksrocks OMG I love the yarn you're using! What is it? And do you have an idiotproof guide to sock making? I can knit but am rather crap using dpn.

SocksRock · 16/11/2015 18:58

It's a hand dyed one from a lady who trades on Facebook as Cuddlebums. Amazing rainbow yarns, I love her stuff. For idiots guide to sock knitting, try the Winwick Mum Sock-A-Long - specifically designed for beginners.

SocksRock · 16/11/2015 19:00

I also knitted these from a pack of mini skeins dyed by her

BeaBoo, I adore that dress! What pattern did you use? Pretty please?

Would matching dresses for my 3 dd's be too much?

I think only on Facebook. She may sell on Etsy as well

BeaBoo · 16/11/2015 19:17

Expecting it's just a simple peasant dress pattern that I drafted myself. I do actually have a very small business selling my makes and that one was a custom order Smile

Oooooh I love this thread!

Currently making socks too - I learned via Winwick Mum as mentioned by socksrock up thread....am making my second gift pair for Christmas. Really need to hurry up.

Also need to start knitting a cowl for a Christmas gift which is over ambitious and won't get done and am making myself a jumper, plus crocheting exfoliating pads to go with facial scrubs for Christmas gifts. Over the weekend I got some decent kid-free time and made some cushions and hanging hearts for our bedroom which is now looking rather marvellous even if I do say so myself Grin

Hereslookingatchoo · 16/11/2015 19:25

P.s. Love all of the makes on here - the minion scarf is awesome as is the Dalek cross stitch and those love crocheted blankets.

I hadn't heard of c2c before but now I must make one!!

MrsPear · 16/11/2015 19:25

Oh how I wish I could sew, knit etc paper craft is what I can manage. So far I have made some Christmas cards, mini bunting and some boxes for candles for teacher gifts.

NantucketNightbird · 16/11/2015 19:32

H my goodness bea! How much do you charge? I would love to order a dress Smile

lucysmam · 16/11/2015 19:32

Secret, your scarf's fab! My girls wish I could knit or crochet but I can't get my head around either of them Confused

DrewsWife, I'm going to add trying inks to my ever growing list of things to try out.

Bea, you are so clever! I see all the time but duck at drafting patterns. Will trawl about for a peasant dress pattern. Think I might invest in the pattern drafting evening course at the local college so I can have an excuse to buy even more fabric!

DrewsWife · 16/11/2015 19:37

Lucysmam. Tim Holtz distress inks. Lots of tutorials on YouTube.

I use a distress tool to blend the ink. But my preference at the moment are ink dusters.

Stamps are from a company called inkylicious. I use black versamark fine for stamping with. Best one so far.

Sorry to bust your bank balance.

How easy is it to set up etsy??? I think my cards are different enough to sell there.

lucysmam · 16/11/2015 19:39

Eek, my bank balance is particularly unhealthy at the mo Shock

I do have a birthday coming up though, and a Dad who never knows what to get me Wink

Such beautiful things you have all made. Just wish I was able to do crafts, but artistic ability fails me

Dowser · 16/11/2015 19:51

Mnetter with the square blanket...you could try starting yarn at one end and crochet enough till it becomes oblong then do the same at other end.

People who make these blankets...do you line them for extra warmth.
