Who's finished something recently? I don't have many crafty friends and love looking at things people have made.

Here's mine: some oven gloves for BIL and SIL who are moving house. One of three projects I'm making out of a pair of DH's old jeans!

Never sewn curves before so I'm chuffed with these Easter Smile and I didn't have to use bias binding! Win! I did have to slip stitch the turning gap closed which was a pain in the bum, but I prefer the look than if I had top stitched instead.

How fabulous! Thank you for sharing!

Oh god. I haven't even started sewing the squares together. Tomorrow! Then I have a plan to stuff with foam and hide bells inside.

Oooh love this...here's my latest crochets bits and bobs. The last one is a tapestry crochet phone holder. The button is a bit off centre - but hey...

I have finished this 'Leftie' scarf this evening. I don't normally knit, but this was a fun, easy project.

Wow love all these things, the girls dresses are beautiful! And I'm definitely making the fairy doors!

Have just had a nosey on the pps blog, looks like we have similar tastes! Am going to bookmark it =)

I feel spectacularly untalented now. These are so beautiful and professional looking. I have never made anything in my life but I am feeling a bit inspired!! I am having my first baby in October, what would be an easy thing to make? I'd love to do a little blanket or cardigan but wouldn't know where to start.

Weegiemum · 25/04/2014 12:50

Knitted blankets for my new niece (5 months) and nephew (6 weeks!)

And a wee jumper for the Fish'n'Chip baby project.

Finished this bag last night for a friend (well not quite finished as the frame will be silver not bronze - but it hasn't arrived from China yet!) She has a plain but gorgeous navy dress to wear to a wedding and wanted something to jazz up her outfit and be a conversation starter, so we picked this fabric from my stash :)

I'm so glad everyone's still sharing! Love this thread if I do say so myself Grin

Beautiful blankets, and what an amazing bag!! I'd buy that if I saw it in a shop.

chances, why not try crocheting a granny square blanket? There are tons of tutorials online if you Google. There is even an animated Wikihow! www.wikihow.com/Crochet-a-Granny-Square

I don't think I'm allowed to advertise on here Blithereens otherwise I would direct you to my shop! (I just sell stuff on etsy and I take commissions - I have so little time free to get sewing done, my stock is always low though)

I love crafts, but machine sewing is my thing at the mo. I have tried so many kinds (my woodworking course was the least successfull although I did produce a 'corner' by the end of it LOL)

There are some fabulous things on here :)

SalvatoreGirl · 25/04/2014 14:32

Wonderful makes ladies - love the bag lynniep x

MinesAPintOfTea · 25/04/2014 14:59

I can't find my camera but this afternoon I've run up a family set of travel-laundry bags (pillowcase-style from cheap polyester) and a sunhat for DS from one of DH's old shirts (he wears through the elbows and leaves acres of good fabric on the back).

My most recent full project was a wool satchel-style shoulder bag lined with cotton.

Pook I want one of those! I can't knit but may be able to strong arm a friend, unless you accept commissions? Smile Yes, please can you link to the pattern.

Love the colours in that baby blanket Polter!

PookBob · 25/04/2014 19:37

Thank you, that's really kind Blush

Here's the pattern

MothershipG · 25/04/2014 19:56

Thanks Pook did you make yours smaller than the one in the pattern? And what kind of wool is non-itchy enough to wear around your neck?

PookBob · 25/04/2014 20:55

Mine has less repeats than the original design, but I used DK rather than the specified sock weight. I used a full 100g ball of the main colour, and then just scraps of other colours I had left over.

This was just a practice run really as I don't knit very often, so it's a cheap acrylic. If I made it again I think I would use Drops Alpaca, it's really soft.

MothershipG · 25/04/2014 21:51

Thanks again Pook I prefer your smaller version, and I've just googled that Alpaca, it comes in some lovely colours.

I really should try (again!) to learn to knit.

PookBob · 25/04/2014 23:31

Definitely give it a go, I learnt to knit and crochet last christmas and I love it.

Get on ravelry.com for some inspiration, it's addictive though.

temporarilyjerry · 26/04/2014 07:28

Polter, is the pattern for your blanket available online? It is beautiful.
