It doesn't have to involve money - raid your kids craft box - string - wrapping paper etc all good for cards !
Tee hee - I can't believe you are doing this Cod

cardQUEENcod · 06/11/2005 16:16

no craft
no box

jayzmummy · 06/11/2005 16:16

how on earth did that happen? I posted the message left the comp and then came back to three messages posted????
Cod you dont have to spend any money at all....Im sure you will be able to lay your fishy fins on some card and a few xmassy bits around the house.

I'll post a few links later to some card making ideas sites, just so you can all get some inspiration.

hunkermunker · 06/11/2005 19:18

Looking forward to seeing your card, Cod

Enid · 06/11/2005 19:24

I dont want to buy anything (she says with panic rising in voice)

((cod I can send you some glittery bits if you wish - god this is getting out of hand, shall we bail?)

PeachyClair · 06/11/2005 19:29

Listen, I never spend any money on my stuff!! I can happily post you a piece or three of card for the base Cod,that's about all I spend. (Shave crayons onto paper, lie greaseproof over top, Iron, cool, peel back greaseproof... voila!)

I've even made cards from melted babybel wax

Or microwaved ivy

ladymuck · 06/11/2005 19:39

Gosh - I'm not sure I could even stand a chance on the "Them" team - no idea what a sizzex machine is. ~What do you emboss with? Stamps I can do - I have the Tchibo christmas ones somewhere...

Roughly how long do the "us" team spend on making a card (assuming they're doing it the long way, minus sizzex machines and a craft box)?

PeachyClair · 06/11/2005 19:42

I don't have a sissix machine (yet- hoping for father Christmas but dh likely to get distracted).

I don't take long on a card usually, unless I am quilling which I haven't done for a bit. 30 minutes? about that

I emboss with stamps (wet embossing) and also dry emboss dry embossing but I don't have a light box.

frannyandzooey · 06/11/2005 19:47

Can I be on the "them" team? But what cod said about sending the card to an expert uploader would apply to me. I don't have a digital camera or a scanner...

Just call me Luddite franny. I will be weaving a card from lentils, natch.

fullmoonfiend · 06/11/2005 19:56

Been watching this thread with glee! (I'm a 'them' but a wannabe 'us') I don't have any artistic talent but I wish I did! Can I volunteer as a judge? On account of I'm too chicken to take part?

fullmoonfiend · 06/11/2005 19:58

Oh sorry, you're not having judges. Can I stand there and say 'Cardiators ...ready!'
Best of luck to you all

harpsichordcarrier · 06/11/2005 19:58

there must be judging
for what is life without judging?
all a bit wishy washy frankly
(hi franny)

WigWamBam · 06/11/2005 20:20

Fullmoonfiend, I am completely talentless as well; I have less artistic ability in my little finger than most people have in their entire bodies. But I'm having a go ... and I full expect for my efforts to be pathetic.

Come on ... it'll be fun! I think ...

suzi2 · 06/11/2005 20:21

If it;s a card I'm going to sell, rarely more than 10 mins. Unless it's for a customer.

If any of the them team require bits, let me know and I'll see if I have any to post out.

suzi2 · 06/11/2005 20:22

meant to say... unless it's for a special customer...
