Them Versus Us....Cardmaking Challenge of The Year

This challenge is open to ALL Mumsnetters.

Sign up by adding your name to this thread before 10th November.

All cards must be made by 19th November.

Challenge Rules.

There will be two teams..."Them" being the non-cardmakers and "Us" being the cardmakers.
When you join up to the challnge, you need to declare which team you will be batting for.

No "Toppers" are to be used.

The card must be made by your own fair hand.

You can use materials of your choice. Peel Offs, glitter, ribbon, fibres, card stock, stamped images, clipart.....all are acceptable.

The card must have a Christmas Theme.

The card must be finished and loaded into the gallery album marked "Them" or "Us" (depending on which team you are in), by the 19th November.(Instructions to upload your card will be posted nearer the time)

This challenge is for enjoyment, so have fun and be creative.

I think it would be great if the thems made better cards. Would prove what an accessible hobby it is!

If I could do that, I wouldn't be thinking of paying someone else to, would I?!!

Couldn't you all make penguin cards and I judge which is the best and pay the winner handsomely for their efforts?!

Calm down, its the morning/breakfast room. We didn't know what to do with it to we put the PC and there and I asked my absolutely lovely DH to put some kitchen sideboard up. He did and now instead of junking everything in there it's my room. Total mess. Cuttings all over floor. But bloody lovely after a hard days work to just come in......and visit that other planet.....aaaaaaah

Lonelymum, perhaps you and 2 others could judge. As you are definitely not going to take part. Are there any other people who are impartial to toffee, etc. We need some judges.

We need 3 for the decider. Someone think of someone quick.

yes...i like the idea of judges...those who really feel hanmade cards are yuck..so they get a lovely suprise!!!

I think this is hysterical ... I keep thinking about entering as a 'them', then coming to my senses

I suppose I could get ds2 to make a card for me, and enter that!

That's all I shall do, Enid ... (although I think I might just nip into our local craft shop to see if they have anything nice to stick on it, or make it look really pretty ...)
