Come hither all those who havent found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from me, fucker, hairy, gomummy, tired mum and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

SouthDevonDelight · 25/05/2010 15:15

Hello to everyone on the bench - do you think I could have a sit down for a while? I do have some tasty bits to share .... found a tenner in old handbag and hot-footed it to the Farmer's Market for homemade bread to die for, some glossy olives, goats cheese rolled in herbs and a bag of brownies. I'd feel a bit guilty spending the unexpected cash entirely on me, so please do help yourselves

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2010 15:21

oh i'd love some bread and a brownie for later thank you

oh and welcome

SouthDevonDelight · 25/05/2010 15:23

OK, now this is going to sound really stupid, but I have to ask - are you (we) trying to get to 1000 posts or whatever the limit is in the fastest time possible, or are we just passing the time of day and putting our feet up?

GinSlinger · 25/05/2010 15:24

Hello again - I went off last night to walk the dog and then came back and then next thing I knew eldest DS had phoned to say that he's getting married in six weeks. It's champagne from me today.

SouthDevonDelight · 25/05/2010 15:28

Gin - well that news beats my £10 find in the old bag!!! Congratulations to mother of the bridegroom - 6 weeks though? Will you find a hat in time, or not that kind of do? As you can see, I'm very nosey!

ApocalypseCheese · 25/05/2010 15:31

Ginslinger, that's wonderful news how lovely for you

teaandcakeplease · 25/05/2010 15:33

Good Lord! You reached 1000 on the other thread then?

GinSlinger · 25/05/2010 15:42

It's going to be a fairly quiet do but I'm definitely having a hat! And shoes.

SouthDevonDelight · 25/05/2010 15:50

.... and shoes, Ginslinger - made me smile - was there a moment when you were considering being barefoot? Or are these to be "special" shoes with ridiculously high heels and very expensive? And what about a bag as well?

SleepyCaz · 25/05/2010 15:55

Hi Gang.

Any tips on how to destress from worst few days in ages.

DD sick.
DS a little angel, but starting to get all cross, which means getting ill.
MIL has been horrid to me for first time EVER, so shocked, she is always nice as pie.
Panicked over money for next few weeks.
Feel ill.

12 hour shift tonight, starting at 7.30pm.

Aaaaagh!!

CheerfulYank · 25/05/2010 15:55

I think we're just sunning ourselves on the bench, southdevon. When we get to 1000 we'll just start another, won't we? Mwahahahha! (that was my conquer-the-world diabolical cackle )

It's absolutely sweltering here, the humidity is ridiculous! It was my birthday last week and I don't know why no one gave me that villa on the French Riviera (with the fully stocked wine cellar, 'course) that I wanted. For some reason cherry posicles and a ceiling fan just doesn't have the same flair, does it? But alas, that's how I'll be spending my summer

CheerfulYank · 25/05/2010 15:58

Sorry you're having a rough time, Sleepy! Hope your LOs feel better soon and your MIL returns to her former self.

Congrats, Ginslinger! That's lovely, do you like your future DIL? (or SIL? Want to be politically correct of course! )

SleepyCaz · 25/05/2010 16:00

Reckon I will just cake it up at work all night, then racing around after the gang tomorrow, I MIGHT burn it all off, hehehe.

Where has the sun gone?!

Tiredmumno1 · 25/05/2010 16:21

I am still blowing lol.

congrats gin, lovely news.

And the last thread got to 1001

GinSlinger · 25/05/2010 16:26

My future DIL is absolutely lovely and she clearly makes DS very happy so it's a winning combination.

SleepyCaz I hope everyone feels better soon.

Tiredmumno1 · 25/05/2010 16:27

And sorry welcome south devon

CheerfulYank · 25/05/2010 16:30

SleepyCaz! (Just stalking your profile, don't mind me! ) We like all the same stuff. Yay! Things like that always make me happy.

SleepyCaz · 25/05/2010 16:38

Me too, Cheerful! Hurray!!

It is actually raining here now, booo Was that it? 3 days? Lame...

CheekyPinkSox · 25/05/2010 17:20

AnyFucker · 25/05/2010 17:50

gomummygo · 25/05/2010 17:57
