To think that Nick Griffin is misunderstood and actually a nice chap?

I heard him being interviewed this morning on the Today programme.

Firstly, it turns out he's not racist or against immigration! Apparently, he says it's ok for French people to come here (there's not that many that want to so its ok). AND he says that Irish people can come here too because they're really all British! So that's nice. I was a bit confused because I thought they'd spent all those years bombing us because they didn't want to be British but I guess I've got that all wrong.

He's not going to let Algerian asylum seekers come though, but I don't think it matters because they'll just get killed where they are in their own country so that won't be a problem for them much longer.

And the best thing is... he's going to give £50,000 to anyone who's not "pure British" to leave the country and go back to where they came from! How cool is that! So I'm now deciding whether to go back to my Great-Grandmother's origins in Russia, or my Great Grandfather's in Finland. Now, apparently this money is going to come from what he called stupid anti-Climate Change projects so although much of Russia and pretty much all of Finland is a bit chilly, as the climate changes because they money is being spent on me, they'll get warmer and I'll be all toasty!

Brilliant!

that's not fair, don't think I can claim anywhere to go back to

weegiemum · 29/04/2010 11:28

Nick Griffin!

There is only one response to him.

Well, I'm not sure?

Is it LOL or {hmm]

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2010 11:28

I was born in Sheffield, happy to be paid to go back there

QueenofDreams · 29/04/2010 11:29

Hmm, I'm not pure british either. I could certainly use 50k though!

WombFrootShoot · 29/04/2010 11:29

Well, I got one of those leaflets through the door, and it turns out that people JUST LIKE ME are voting for the BNP.

There were photos of normal looking families on the front and lots of lovely stirring stuff about keeping Britain British or something.

I didn't wipe my arse on the leaflet and put it back in the envelope, and send it back to the PO box address without a stamp on. Oh no, I didn't want do that all.

I am such a mongrel he will have to cut me into bits and deliver me around Europe.

And anyway, can't we all just go back to Africa. Would Africa just be a big pile of mitochondrial DNA?!

I think he's sexy too, especially with the devil horns he is wearing in the doctored promotional literature in my window

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2010 11:33

I've just got a leaflet too, think it came with the normal mail

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2010 11:34

urgh bet the sort of people who volunteer to fold these things are the sort not to wash their hands after using the loo

WombFrootShoot · 29/04/2010 11:36

And they're massive racists as well SPB

flibbertigibbert · 29/04/2010 11:36

I quite like the idea of £50,000 to pay for an extended Caribbean holiday. Nevermind that my family left there 120 years ago. Though genetically I'm mostly British, so maybe I'd only get £20,000 .

BessieBoots · 29/04/2010 11:37

He lives in Wales.

I think a "Get Griffin Out" fund could be set up so that he can bugger off back to where he came from.

Bluesunday · 29/04/2010 11:37

I was born here, but I'd be more than happy to take the £50k and relocate if it helps decrease "the surplus population"... I'm thinking the Carribean...

GetOrfMoiLand · 29/04/2010 11:37

He looks like Wormwort from Watership Down the big guy at the top

He probably thinks Oswald Mosely was a poor misunderstood genius.

LadyBiscuit · 29/04/2010 11:37

I heard that interview - Sarah Montagu made absolute mincemeat of him. Twas very satisfying

Bumbleconfusus · 29/04/2010 11:37

I'm not that into Algerian asylum seekers either though... don't think Algeria is that bad as long as your not in the police or army...
If a couple are married, can they each get £50k? And any children they may have? Or is it a one payment per family?

carrotsarenottheonlyvegetable · 29/04/2010 11:38

That's a good point flib. I wonder if they'd % it depending on the % of furriner in us? Oh well maybe he's a tosser then .

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2010 11:38

yes but when holding the leaflet i know which one worries me more
and they're not racist, the leaflet says so. they just want us to remain british in the same way as the tibetans remain tibetan

Bluesunday · 29/04/2010 11:38

FLIPPERTY - I posted before I saw your post, spookily similar...

itsmeitsmeolord · 29/04/2010 11:39

"I was a bit confused because I thought they'd spent all those years bombing us because they didn't want to be British but I guess I've got that all wrong."

OP I agree with the sentiment of your post but the part of your op quoted above is really offensive. And misinformed.

It was funny on Today when he got himself all confused though, as he often does. thick twat

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2010 11:40

ooh ccan someone from somewhere nice adopt me please?
Nowhere too hot as I burn easy. And they must have english food and karaoke

WombFrootShoot · 29/04/2010 11:46

Oh yeah SPB, I forgot that they're not racists for a minute. I mean, if a person can't stand up and say "no more bloody forrins in our green and pleasant land" without shouts of racism, then we're in a pretty terrible place.

Oh and I think he looks like Baron Greenback

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2010 11:49

apparently I am to feel free to put the leaflet in my window
or I suppose I could frame it
