...so, AIBU to worry about how we're going to get round the whole breast feeding thing?

I wasn't able to BF my DD1, so this never arose, and my DH hasn't said anything and wouldn't cos he's a right sweetie, but how do you deal with the leaky boobs thing when you're playing a good game of hide the sausage?

mummee09 I find your tone really offensive tbh, as you freely admit having your own issues and no one has mocked you for that, why then mock those of us who feel breastfeeding is the best thing for our babies? What an idiot you are.

For the record, DP finds my bfing breasts hugely ( ) attractive. He's practically in awe of them actually Also v proud of me for bfing DS2 after really struggling with DS1.

Which is just as it should be.

Janos, mummeee was told to fuck off and was threatened with a fat lip

And called a troll.

So people were a leeeetle bit rude to her.

I think it was all deserved, though...(maybe not the fat lip)

You're not Katie Price, are you Mummmmeeeeeeeeeeeee?

I seem to remember her having similar sentiments re "a baby 'angin' off of me"

mummee09v, I do feel really sorry for you - and other young women - who genuinely believe that the only value their bodies have is to look good in the eyes of men.

Your body has created and nurtured life and
can feed your children which is powerful stuff.

My male friends say they experienced massive respect (even awe) for their wives & partners when they saw them giving birth. Our female bodies are strong and beautiful and there is no reason for men to be disgusted by them.

I hope as you age and your body is no longer "perfect" according to patriachal standards that your DH will still value you and that you will be less judgmental of other women.

Where does this idea of 'hanging off' the breast come from? It's weird. I mean, babies do sorta grip but they don't hang there, swingin' in the wind....

It's purely used to belittle and insult.

OK fair point tiktok

It just seems to me that her comments are calculated to cause the maximum offence possible hence the troll accusation.

Janos, my many years or troll watching on the web suggest to me that mummeeeee is not a troll ie not deliberately posting views she may not have in order to wind people up. I do think she is a knob, and doesn't think about how insulting she is, which is a result of her knobbishness.

I could be wrong. She may be a troll. But she is still a knob, if she is.

If you see what I mean

DH loves my BFing breasts and is hugely proud of me. He also enjoys the milky flavour.

I will admit that it was weird for him touch them for a little while. I put it down to classical conditioning and association. Baby feeds 10 times per day and DH comes 'round once a week... so having my breasts sucked on in a sexual context felt a bit weird at the time. As soon as DD started adding solids to her diet that went away.

DH
LOVES the extra size
LOVES the added dimension of milk
LOVES that I'm feeding his baby wit em

And TBH, he would have been told to find the door real quick if he wasn't the type to appreciate it all.

why are people calling me a "knob" and suggesting they would like to physically hurt me just because my views are different to theirs??

but i do not believe i am the only woman in the world who didnt want to breastfeed for my reasons!! and to the person who suggested my boobs were "fucked" too - well i didnt lactate coz i didnt BREASTFEED??!!! so i can assure you they are pretty DAMN good!!! and as for the person who was saying about having a tummy tuck during labour and eating grass and putting lipstick on my kid, what the hell was that meant to mean?? how immature!? say what you mean!

and i can assure everyone i am NOT a troll, i am assuming that means troublecauser, yes i may have unwittingly caused a stir on this thread, but go check my profile and see what else i have posted coz i can guarantee i am just here to chat, banter, and get and give advice, i do not deliberately go round insulting people!!

i can be quite flippant in the way i write, so maybe some of the comments i made have been taken more seriously than i meant them. i am not on here to make enemies, maybe i shouldn't say anymore on this thread but again, i am genuinely sorry if my posts offended!!! xxx

ps-no i am bloody NOT jordan, lol, cant stand her!!

Well Mumee, I'd suggest you moderate your tone a little, that's all. You have issues about breastfeeding, and I think that's really sad. But honestly don't mock women who do what their bodies are designed to do
btw, you lactate whether you bf or not - you yourself mentioned being grossed out by your milk coming in - you were lactating. Sure because you chose not to bf the milk dried up, but you still lactated for a while.
I respect that not everyone chooses to bf, can you respect that I, and many other women, have chosen to bf and it's a perfectly valid choice to make.

Giggle like a couple of kids and squirt him from across the room? Or was that just us?

We thought we had found a new and interesting toy . We had a lot of fun...it is already being looked forward to this time around.

He watches the babies come out as well and isn't grossed or freaked out, I think it is because he is a grown up and madly in love with me.

Well am sat bf dc3 and quaking/laughing at the thought of the advice mummee might give.

Mummee - we are all entitled to express our opinions but yours were stupid and offensive to women who breastfeed.

I'm guessing you're just ill-informed so will give you the benefit of the doubt.

OP - personally for me I find that the spurting never really happened and I leak lots for the first 6 months generally.

As someone else said my body seems to know the difference between baby feeding and other activities

Checked your profile. You have trouble getting on with women...

Perhaps if you were a little less offensive about the things that women do (ie feed their babies the way nature intended) you would fare a little better.

I don't think anyone has been unduly offensive to you. And no one has seriously suggested hurting you. Although you have given me a headache with all those exclamation marks.

A simple apology for some tactless remarks would be better than lots of unnecessary punctuation and justification.

kat -

Glad you are sorry, mummmeeeeee...though I still think you don't get it.

You had elective sections because you were unable, because of your psychological issues, to accept a vaginal birth.

You would not, I think, say to other women who had give birth vaginally 'I didn't want to drop my kid, seeing it shoot out of me just like an animal and making a bloody disgusting mess of my fanny' ....would you? You'd understand these other women would feel offended and insulted?

You did exactly the same with your comments about breastfeeding.

Now, do you get it?

Dear God, after having changed my post birth sanitary towels for me and witnessing me pooh myself during labour leaky boobs were way down the list of 'things that might put my husband off me'

Yes, some men do understand that the primary function of the breast is to feed babies! I suggest that muummmeee finds herself one!

I'm glad you don't think I'm a troll (the OP) cos it was a genuine question. As I said before, I feel sorry for mummee for not BF just because she was worried about how she thought her DP might feel about them, and I feel doubly sorry for her now she's getting shit for it.

She could have put it more subtly, but it could be that she's freaked out by the way you're not in control of your own body when you have a baby. For some people it might be difficult to come to terms with if you also feel insecure about your body/relationship with OH?

lmao @ morloth - 'Giggle like a couple of kids and squirt him from across the room?'

nostrila - mummee didn't let her DP see her naked for 3 weeks incase he was revolted by her boobs and tummy - so no possibility of him having changed her maternity pads!

mummee - your comments about breastfeeding women being cows is the single most offensive thing I've seen anyone post on MN.

Mummeee, no one is criticising you for having body issues. The point is that you claim to know that they are unusual and then come and post like this.

If you find breastfeeding so "icky," then you are probably not ready for posting on a thread about how to imake sure it does not negatively affect your sexlife.

I do not like spiders very much. However I realise that they are part of the natural world and do not deserve my enmity, and that I am the one with a problem in this respect. What I do not do is join an animal lovers' website, find a thread where someone is talking about their pet tarantula and post something like "Yuck how can you keep such a disgusssssssting pet?" And then wonder why everyone tells me to fuck off.
