To think that 'Alfie' the 13 year old 'father' is not actually the real Dad

He is supposed to have fathered this child about 9+months ago. He doesn't look like he has reached puberty and it has been reported that his voice hasn't yet broken.
AIBU to feel that biologically he just couldn't have done this?
Is this just a money making scheme?

Has any of you seen the hoodie that Alfie was seen wearing. His Family are making a mockery of this. Anything for money.

They all should feel ashamed. here is the link.

oh god thats awful. i teach teenage school mums. i find this so upsetting.

these babies are born into such malfunctioning families. and i know its the fault of society itself which doesn't respect children or parenting as a whole.

do you think these teenage mums breast feed and co sleep and never leave their baby to CIO?

i see some heart breaking things go on.

georgimama · 18/02/2009 16:45

Between this and Jade Goody I am so glad I don't have a TV.

"- Cory, does aimless, indefinite hanging out with mates really seem better than sharing life with a child? Giving youself a role and purpose in life?"

For this age group, yes I think so. 15 (not to mention 13) is too young to have given yourself a role and purpose in life, if by that you mean adult responsibilities.

And it is perfectly possible to get satisfaction from working at a low status job- I know plenty of people who do.

A job doesn't have to be high flying for people to feel good about doing it- or about getting a pay cheque at the end of the month.

kalo12 · 19/02/2009 15:20

what generally happens with the teenage mums is that they spend hours doing 'aimless, indefinatre hanging out with mates, ' but with their baby in a pushchair.

its of no benefit condoning the lifestyles of the benefit class, that would be to say they had a choice in it.
it is actually this middle class pc - ness that is keeping people in poverty and deprivation.

ilovesprouts · 19/02/2009 15:26

i think the fam are milking this for what its worth

Itsjustafleshwound · 19/02/2009 15:30

Good news on this front is that a High Court judge has decided to put a reporting restriction on the case and put the child's interests above those of the resporters ...

AnyFucker · 19/02/2009 17:11

a bit bloody late for that...

hifi · 19/02/2009 18:17

what amazes me in all this is there would have been outrage at a male who looked as mature as the mother impregnating a female who looked like the father.

what the hell was she doing going to bed with a child?

Kimi · 19/02/2009 20:19

Great hoodie....

three words.....POOR WHITE TRASH

chegirl · 19/02/2009 20:47

I am a bit shocked at comments made that this baby should be in care 'at least'. Why?
The mother lives at home with her family. The child does not appear to be at risk of abuse or neglect. Why then should the child be removed?

Cos we think its a bit ick?

Its crap that these kids have had a baby (no, I dont think that wee lad is the dad) but its happened. Chances of the little one going to uni? Bugger all I would imagine. Chances of her leading a fairly happy,if non productive life? Pretty fair.

This girl is 15 and she has had a baby. It wouldve gone unremarked if the father had been older. Most 15 year olds who have babies have no father around anyway. It seems that there is no expectation that there will be a dad. My LO's birth mother had no intention of having a relationship with the father. She looked at me blankly when we discussed it. I am from a council estate background etc but it shocked the bloody hell out of me! She talked about him going with other girls etc. When I ventured that it must of been hard to be treated so badly she said 'nah he didnt treat me bad or anything' . Apparently shagging all your mates does not count as being treated badly. I dread to think what does.

springlamb · 19/02/2009 20:51

Yes, the reporting restrictions are good news.
Would've been even better news if it had been a week or so ago.
Local child protection should have gone into court for these restrictions immediately.

TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 19/02/2009 22:56

hifi, more than that, he would have been done for statutory rape. Is there any reason why she shouldn't be done for it either?

namechanger101 · 19/02/2009 23:17
