good point, did not think about the regrowth. Maybe some light trimming, but given lack of visibility could be dangerous!

I would if I had the guts to, I'd maybe get the sides waxed.
I got my bikini and thighs done last time around and used a trimmer, a mirror and some very interesting positions to trim away the excess I'm sure if you try, you could get down there and have a go yourself.

No, YANBU. But please remember that you have soooo much more blood in your body and it will bleed and bruise like you won't believe. (wasn't me, but friend did it and rang me in panic thinking ahe'd really injured herself. Yuck)

Apparently waxing hurts more in pregnancy.

I'm with the majority here: you won't care what it looks like when you're giving birth (and nor will the midwife). Everything about birth is pretty undignified. You might even poo while you're pushing. You honestly won't care.

Instead I'd get a lady shaver and have a tidy up.

why do people worry so much about their pubes when they're about to give birth anyway? believe me, an overly luxuriant ladygarden will probably be the least of your worries

OP - forget the brazilian, give yourself an enema instead, a bit of wild hair is nothing to worry over, honestly!

get a razor, get a Dh and make sure he knows what will happen if his hand slips.

YANBU but off your head! I am not brave enough for the wax I have to say pregnant or not.

Although when I went into labour after about 4 hours I decided to go for a shower and shave my legs, lady bits and under arms.

What can I say it passed the time, and when I went into hospital I was very pleased I had done it otherwise MW wouldve been shaving me with the dry BIC, ouch! Because I ended up getting an ECS But heyho we are all fine so

I just don't like being really hairy.

Also, it's much nicer afterwards when it's not full of hair down there, IYKWIM.

and you might be grateful for the pubes to cover everything up afterwards too....

OLIFIN - I did care, I kept moaning "I want to go home" (I know, off my head on gas and air) - the midwife just carried on and said of course you do, now PUSH!!

A beautician said it isn't reccomended to wax during pregnancy. Can't remember why not

it's not something i'd start doing in pregnancy.

but if you've been doing it for years you're not as sensitive and have killed off more than a few follicles and nerve endings .

I know I am being vain and that when push comes to shove (ahem) I wont care....

...but I just feel so bleughhh! I think the mirror and razor may be the way to go, but I figured that could well itch more afterwards!

First time around the week before I had dd, I have bikini and leg wax, eyebrows shaped, hair cut and highlighted, manicure and pedicure, so I looked my best . 72 hours of labour, episiotomy and stiches later.....

Did none of it with ds. We live and learn.
