My DH can't drive. He used to drive until his insurance company fucked up and he go caught driving with "no insurance" (by accident - he thought he was covered) and lost his driving licence. He can re-do his test etc but we simply can't afford it right now.

There are times when it is annoying, but most of the time it doesn't matter, and it saves us a lot of money. He works down the road so he walks in and its only the off occasion I need to give him a lift.

My mate just got engaged to a guy who can't drive.

until a year ago neither of us could drive, it was a concious decision to be as enviromentally friendly as poss. we decided when i was pg with no 3 that 3 kids on public transport would be a nightmare so i learnt to drive, we could only afford for one of us to learn, and it seemed more sensible for it to be me (getting about with kids during day etc).

Someone being good at anything is attractive (practically anything). What is really unattractive is men who are really aggressive and useless drivers and when they crash into things or get speeding tickets, insist it's someone else's fault.
