to be absolutley grossed out by suspected 'pooh crumbs' in our bed fom when we had people staying over??

Honestly, I feel sick - I want to burn the sheets, the mattress, the bed and bleach the whole room.

IL's were staying they had our bed. We have just gone to change sheets with DH and found little tiny brown balls of ????? in the bottom area of the bed side whe FIL slept.

DH gathered the sheets around them when he saw them to prevent them from spilling and they are currently waiting to go in the machine.

The sheets will be washed entirely on thier own on a hot wash - at the risk of perishing the elastic, I would throw them away but we only have 2 bedding sets and can't really afford to buy a new one at the moment

IL's are not old or infirm, but FIL had a rotten stomach when he was here (or maybe it was normal but not a 'man smell' I am used to) but he stunk out the bathroom whenever he used it and then entire top floor when getting up and going to bed.

This is the first time they have stayed over with us in over 2 years and while I want to encourage interaction with our DC's I am not prepared to have my house made in to a smelly sh*t hole!

I can see why you are grossed out. I wouldn't know what to suggest though, he probably didnt realise I'm sure he'd be very embarrassed. But still YUK.

Invest in some really really cheap value type sheets from woolies or tesco for when they come then bin them after?

Yes, boil wash your sheets. Perhaps get a set of v cheap ones for future visitors. But if he was poorly(as you describe) this was porb a one-off.

Does he not wear PJs? I know no one who would sleep in a friends' bed and go nekkid!

FIL is not a 'plesant man' when it come to hygiene and manners (sp) his past gross-outs include

Picking an old dried blood blister on his finger then wiping it on my sofa

Cleaning his nails with his keys a droping contants on floor

Biting nails and spitting them out

Leaving his open boogey covered hankey on the side in bathroom full of his pocket change

Burping and farting just about anywhere

Always being the first up to the table to grab food and taking seconds before some people have actually had firsts.

Taking the last of anything on offer without seeing if anyone else wnated it.

He actually makes me feel physically sick sometimes, but I dont say anything because I dont want to cause a scene.

There is an old saying - like father like son. Are you worried about a repeat prescription cos I am! In fact whenever my OH does anything crud like I always say I know I have married your dad!

Why poo crumbs though? Couldn't it just be belly-button crumbs or toe-jam crumbs? Or did you smell it?
