To think this is a fair exchange (shocking TMI warning)

I am STARVING i have been to the inlaws so i think that entitles me to a little treat. Well not treat but some food. We didnt go shopping because we went to the inlaws and the only thing that is open is muckdonalds, but hey, im half pissed, i'll eat anything.

The exchange is oral sex for DP going to get me a burger. I just did it, but he is sulking because i didn't go all the way - well i don't want him falling asleep on me do i!!!

So, fair exchange or is this a total abandonment of my feminist principals.

LEM bashes head against brick wall. What i am trying to say is, despite everything i chucked at DP he is still here, he really finds me hard to deal with at times, bless him, all he wants is a quiet life and sometimes just sometimes he cracks under the pressure. It doesn't make him a bad person. I told him in no uncertain terms that he upset me deeply by calling me a cunt. He apologised and just said that he felt out of contrl (lots of stuff happening at once and my constant whining and shouting at him didnt help) and he felt really bad. To be honest, i just wanted to hug him. Some of the stuff i have done has been totally irrational and a lesser man would have walked away. But no, he is still here, despite really not being able to understand WHY i get like that sometimes.

I am not going to stop posting for support on here as i think mnet is great, but iam making a promise to myself not to fall into the trap of slagging DP off because i am angry and wanting to lash out because if i were to read my posts about him, i would tell myself to leave him and that would be tragic. Not everyone is lucky enough to experience true love, i am one of the lucky ones. I love DP so much i don't have the words.

I have had that man in tears and on the point of mental breakdown but he still loves me.

I should put into context that neither of us consider the C word totally taboo but dont use it because it offends others.

'If you don't like what the thread is about stop posting on it and reading the posts!'

Sorry, but on this site, people are entitled to give their opinions, especially in the AIBU section.

It's the nature of this site and what makes it different from most other parenting sites.

I find the idea of exchanging sex for a favour horrible.
There's a thin line between a bit of fun between a couple and selling yourself for a flippin' snack.
Sex is supposed to be a consensual act, mutually enjoyed FOR IT'S OWN SAKE.
Or is it the 1950s?

expatinscotland · 06/07/2008 19:13

i gotta root for raffa here.

it's the call of our blood .

AuntieMaggie · 06/07/2008 19:13

The thread was about whether she was unreasonable to think it was a fair exchange - not a complete dissection of her life!

Since when did sex have to be serious???

mrsfederer · 06/07/2008 19:15

Expat, I will have a word with him.

expatinscotland · 06/07/2008 19:16

I knit my hubbys luvverly cardies you know.

lucyellensmum · 06/07/2008 19:17

but expat i feel that i need to jump to my DPs defense and try and persuade people like you and dittany who have been really great to me when i have needed a shoulder to cry on that really my DP is a good man as i really dont want you to think badly of him. Of course i recognise that you are more than entitled to your opinions and i respect them totally. But i have to put my point of view across. I have often thought when posting on my other threads that maybe im being unfair to DP, i clearly am because something that was supposed to be a bit of fun has turned quite ugly.

I am sitting next to my MIL so I cannot swear too much !!

expatinscotland · 06/07/2008 19:19

LEM, i couldn't care less, tbh. if you say you're DP's great, so be it.

but truly, there's such a thing as TMI and it's concerning how you feel the need to post so many graphic details about your sex life in order to validate how happy you are with him.

anyway, it's a good thing i can type so well without looking at the keyboard because this match is excellent .
