So much missing from this post op.

BatshitIsTheOnlyExplanation · 26/10/2026 22:28

You have left out a lot of critical information

BigYellowBus · 26/10/2026 22:28

You want your 12 year old to leave home ?I think a little more context is needed?

DewDropsAndCobWebs · 26/10/2026 22:29

Not home as in working with a social worker to find a group home, or do you mean asking a relative to have her, or do you mean just locking her out and saying fuck it?
Very different response depending on your situation.

50Balesofgrey · 26/10/2026 22:30

Why would you want to?

AutumnOakTree · 26/10/2026 22:30

I’m guessing she’ll go into foster care?

cestlavielife · 26/10/2026 22:32

What are the issues?
Disabilities? Moody?

Ohthatsabitshit · 26/10/2026 22:32

Pay for boarding school, and residential in the holidays.

maggisimpson · 26/10/2026 22:33

Is there other family or friends she could go to?

MozzieFreeZone · 26/10/2026 22:34

Is her father on the scene?

Boreded · 26/10/2026 22:39

Well if it leaves her without a home you could be investigated for child neglect or abandonment.

But presuming that there is far more to this story, we can’t answer the question

Gazelda · 26/10/2026 22:43

Who isn’t listening OP?

do you want to tell us what’s going on?

You sound at the end of your tether.

wfhinpjs · 26/10/2026 23:36

@Qb2654 what do you think would happen?

Ilovelurchers · 26/10/2026 23:55

Does she have another parent she could stay with? Or a supportive family member who could give you respite?

EmeraldShamrock000 · 27/10/2026 00:03

She would be rightly placed in care if she had no family who would take her. Where is her other parent?
You could face prosecution if you throw her out on the street or emotionally abuse her with threats.
Ring SS immediately. Even thinking of this is a good reason to call.,

Undones · 27/10/2026 00:16

Is it one of them give me a reaction threads were op dont come back.

PoppyPopper · 27/10/2026 00:22

So much missing from this post op.

As usual.

There’s a very annoying trend lately of threads with little to no information in the OPs.

I can’t for the life of me work out what they get from it.

Tickingcrocodile · 27/10/2026 00:39

It sounds like the OP has already reached out for support and hit a brick wall. Presumably they are dealing either with a child with SEND or very challenging behaviour.

OP what contact have you had with children's services? You may have tried these things but this link jas some ideas for where to reach out https://parents.actionforchildren.org.uk/home-family-life/parent-mental-health/parent-i-cant-cope/

Struggling to cope

Support when you feel like you can’t cope as a parent

When you’re parenting, there can be times when everything feels too much. When you notice these feelings, there is support is available for you.

Well, that a whole heap of missing information right there!

TulipCat · 27/10/2026 02:02

We need the context here

Missey85 · 27/10/2026 03:35

What do you think? She'd go to foster care? I suppose what about her dad? Would be take her

If you lock her out or refuse to pick her up from school it is likely that the police will be called, she will be placed under police protection and you could potentially be in legal trouble for child neglect.
My local authority would fight you to avoid putting her in care, there will be heavy pressure on you to have her back but hopefully they would put more support in place.
