You’re not going to want to listen to me, but you must.

Please take your bag of salt and vinegar crisps and put them in the freezer for a few hours.

Enjoy a bowl of them straight from the freezer.

Please report back with your findings.

I've yet to experiment with the frozen crisp, but all 'bar' chocolate (Mars, Snickers, Rocky etc) go in the freezer 🍫 ❄️ 😋

After eights are a whole new level of excellence when frozen.

This is very interesting! I will try….hope my filling doesn’t get stuck in the frozen snickers and pop out 😅

Maltesers are less dangerous on filling and still taste great. Something else I used to put in the freezers are After Eights, they don't go rock hard.

Top idea! 👌
That's my Christmas sorted 😀

Do they have to be eaten in a timely manner? Wondering if they go soggy/soft as they defrost or if I can take my time munching

Onceadreamer · Yesterday 22:54

This is top tier Mumsnet. 😍

At work we only have a fridge. Do we think it could work if we put them in there for 24 hours?

Nope. I've just got weird cold crisps. Would not recommend. (And I love S&V crisps)

Now, putting a Curly Wurly in the freezer, and smashing it up a bit, so it lasts longer, is top tier.

I adore frozen Tunnocks tea cakes, I put the whole box in the freezer!

I agree that chocolate biscuits (of any variety) are great straight from the freezer.

Am feeling ambivalent about frozen crisps but would give them a try.

However, I don't think I could ever try one of my DP's frozen snacks - crab sticks. Just the thought of them makes me feel slightly ill!

I'll take your word for it re crisps from the freezer, but I'll raise you that ready-made store-bought icing is meant for sneaking spoonfuls. i haven't tried freezing it, though. 🤔

I don’t have any s&v crisps right now but I will buy some. I’m in Ireland so Taytos it is…I really hope this is like salt on watermelon 😂
