Anyone else would mop, right?

You pour yourself a coffee, and as you turn away from the counter, a tablespoons worth falls to the kitchen tile.

You would mop that up right? Not leave it, or "wipe it up with your sock".
Right?!

Am I being unreasonable to think anyone else who spilt coffee would get out a mop and clean it properly?

At home or at work id wipe that with a wet bit of kitchen towel or damp cloth.
Cleaners come to our work every evening and mop the floor and at my house my cleaner comes and steam mops once a week and I do it inbetween.

I've found my people.

Sock wipe for the win. The mop comes out if I'm having company or Christmas. Heathen that I am.

I’d use blue roll to wipe it up. I do t know where the mop is kept at work

This is the reason I always recommend that one keeps a tissue up one’s sleeve. If tissue is not too damp after soaking up small amount of liquid,, tissue can be replaced up ones sleeve to enable body warmth to dry it out to be ready for any future spills.😀

At home I’d use kitchen roll, I might send the robot vacuum/mop round if it was close to needing doing anyway.
at work I’d use blue roll, I don’t even know where the mop is.
