Loudly complaining about smell in public loo

Suddenly needed to use the toilet (ibs) in M&S, a lady walked in and kept saying. "Oh god it stinks in here!" Over and over again to everyone in the queue.
aibu or is that a bit mean!? It's a toilet after all. I ended up having to stay in the cubicle for ages because then i was too embarrassed to walk out after she'd been telling everyone over and over again that it stinks.
i did flush multiple times to try and avoid too much smell but I'm not sure what else I could have done.

A toilet is for defecating in. It is being used for its intended purpose. All shit stinks, get over yourself. The op I was quoting has since shown a pathetic lack of understanding for IBS sufferers and suggest they all stay at home so yes her attitude is vile.

There is something to be said about someone who gets their kicks winding up people with health conditions.
There are plenty of other hobbies you can indulge in.

IBS is a catch all term for a cluster of mechanisms where the guts function is disturbed but the structure appears normal. There is no ‘one smell’ of what is a cluster of symptoms and signs of disregularity.

We call our toilet the Piss Parlour, the Shite Shack, the Poo Palace. If I walk in after DH has done his business, and complain… He simply says “this room is for shitting & peeing”.

That woman was rude and childish but some people have legitimate concerns with male tradies being disgusting and disrespectful in their toilets. The horror stories I’ve seen on here. It’s not about them leaving a bad smell - that would be fine and normal. It’s people not flushing or making any attempt to clean the toilet after a watery stool or just leaving it in a really bad state. Of course not all are like that but you can never tell.

I have a toilet in my apartment building so thankfully the tradies use that 😆
