What would the Left call the Right, if the small boat people were white?

Blondiebeachbabe · 29/09/2026 13:19

I'll start by saying, I am very anti open boarders, and I am horrified that so many illegal immigrants are arriving every day. But for me, it has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour, it is more to do with :

ONE) They have no documentation, and we have no idea if they have criminal backgrounds

TWO) They tend to come from cultures where women are not respected

THREE) They often come from places where rape is not a crime

FOUR) They cannot work, and it is costing Millions to house, feed and clothe them

FIVE) We are granting asylum to some people who should never get it - like the Hamas bodyguard we heard of yesterday

Lots of valid reasons I feel, however, for me, it has nothing to do with skin colour. If I had to be locked in a room overnight with a white man from a backward culture, or a black man from the UK, I would choose the latter, every single time.

It isn't colour, it's culture

But I see that people on the Far Left just scream "Racist" to anyone who opposes illegal immigration. What would they scream, if all the small boats were full of white men? And would people still march for England?

If you say so.

But that's just it -- the Left genuinely believe that they can make something true just by saying so!

Honestly, reading this thread, I'd encourage people not to bother arguing with this OP and certain posters on here. Of course there is a debate to be had around immigration, but you will never get any decent sense out of key posters on here because they are so profoundly racist, they can't even comprehend what racism is. They think people can't see through the words they type to their real agenda. Well we can!

If they wanted real, impartial evidence about the relationship between illegal immigrants and sexual violence, they could obtain an overview of all the relevant data and studies via AI. In 10 minutes, it could make them a detailed presentation with data, graphs, you name it, if that's what they actually profess they want to know. In fact, they already know this, which is why they would rather be on here, using selected anecdotes or data to pedal Elon Musk's or Farage's utter shite and cynical diversion tactics. Not noticing that while they're all frothing about this 1% of Britain's migrants, AI and the rest of the developing world are about to take their jobs and change their societies in ways none if us can even imagine.

What is the "debate to be had about immigration"? Is one side of the debate people like you who are not able to do anything but use the word racist?

ADHDAnnie · 30/09/2026 12:39

100% agree. Britain is and should be a multi-ethnic society, but it should not be multi-cultural. People moving here to live should want to adopt British culture and values, and integrate with the existing communities... not being their own cultural values and practices and live in their own segregated societies. Social cohesion is important.
The fact immigrants need leaflets to tell them not to rape is a glaring red flag, surely?

This is exactly right. But apparently you’re racist for saying so, even though you’ve been explicit that Britain should be multi-ethnic, because drawing distinctions between cultures is “racist” too.

WILD.

I don’t believe Britain is more ‘civilised’ than anyone.
As I’ve already said the word civilised is an outdated term used as justification for subjugating people and it has no place in contemporary politics. I’m pretty shocked to be even having this discussion tbh.

Presumably you also came on here to convince us raving lefties why we’re wrong, so I’m asking questions to give you the opportunity to explain your position. Can you actually explain what you mean by civilised or advanced (actually explain not just ask another whataboutery question)?

Roy Jenkins
The former Home Secretary famously used the term in 1969 to defend the social reforms of the 1960s (such as the decriminalisation of homosexuality and the abolition of the death penalty):

"The permissive society has been allowed to become a dirty phrase. A better phrase is the civilised society."

John Prescott
Speaking as Deputy Prime Minister at the Labour Party Conference in 2003, Prescott looked back at the party's historic achievements:

"We belong to the party that civilised the 20th century. And now history has placed in our hands the future of this country as we begin the 21st century."

Jeremy Corbyn
During his 2015 annual conference speech as party leader, Corbyn used the term to address online political discourse and social media behavior:

"I want a more civilised tone of politics... I say to all Labour activists 'cut out the personal abuse, cut out the cyber-bullying and especially the misogynistic abuse online and let's get on bringing real values back into politics'."

Rebecca Long-Bailey
The former Shadow Education Secretary framed the purpose of social safety nets around this concept in 2020:

"A civilised society is marked by how it treats and respects its most vulnerable members. The Labor Party champions a welfare system that provides support, a safety net, and quality of life."

The Jeremy Corbyn quote is quite amusing.

@moderate - What's 'WILD' that a simple definition of racism - which should be obvious - has provoked such a strong reaction from you. Also you clearly misunderstand, and are extrapolating accordingly with the usual nonsensical questions that spectacularly miss the point.

You telling people they are racist doesn't make it so. There are some "key posters" who don't seem to know what racism is, unless they are talking about the use of the racist word "gammon". Debating around issues on immigration and not seeing things the same as you does not represent racism. It also doesn't make those people far right. You can keep projecting and pushing labels on people but expect the pushback. Women aren't buying it.

Well you are confused, that's clear. But fortunately, in the real world, people know racism when they see it. Trust me on that.

Anyway, I can't be bothered going round in circles with faceless people who want to play 'sides.' Some people are truly beyond help. Play stupid games, get stupid prizes. Have a nice day!

Championing? What a strange word to demand an answer to.

What's happening there in those quotes is civilisation developing over time in relation to what is happening socially in Britain over the past 60 years. You gave it minimal thought obviously as it contradicts your insistence that civilised is a bad word.

Yeah, just like the "simple definition of woman" that "a woman is anyone who feels like a woman" provokes a strong reaction.

You just don't have a clue how ridiculous this line of non-argument sounds outside of your little bubble, do you?

In the real world, people know false accusations of racism when they see them. Hence the rise of Reform. You know, the real-world, measurable rise.

Xenophobia is the fear, hatred, or dislike of people perceived as foreign, strange, or different from one's own social or national group.

So, what if you are absolutely fine with some people perceived as foreign, strange, or different from one's own social or national group, but you're not fine with others? Is that xenophobia?

read my posts again. I’ve made it quite clear that i believe it is a colonial term used to justify the subjugation of others by implying one culture is somehow superior. Spoiler alert, I find its use deeply offensive in this context. But you don’t want to understand so you won’t 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s really not what’s happening there. Corbyn is using it in a very different context to the others, for one.
