What would the Left call the Right, if the small boat people were white?

I'll start by saying, I am very anti open boarders, and I am horrified that so many illegal immigrants are arriving every day. But for me, it has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour, it is more to do with :

ONE) They have no documentation, and we have no idea if they have criminal backgrounds

TWO) They tend to come from cultures where women are not respected

THREE) They often come from places where rape is not a crime

FOUR) They cannot work, and it is costing Millions to house, feed and clothe them

FIVE) We are granting asylum to some people who should never get it - like the Hamas bodyguard we heard of yesterday

Lots of valid reasons I feel, however, for me, it has nothing to do with skin colour. If I had to be locked in a room overnight with a white man from a backward culture, or a black man from the UK, I would choose the latter, every single time.

It isn't colour, it's culture

But I see that people on the Far Left just scream "Racist" to anyone who opposes illegal immigration. What would they scream, if all the small boats were full of white men? And would people still march for England?

If I am giving legal advice to person who doesn't understand English, how are we compatible in the absence of an interpreter? I'm referring to any nationality, BTW. Who's saying all foreigners are rapists?

Given your apparent lack of reading comprehension and your inability to follow a short, written conversation I sincerely hope you are not giving legal advice to anyone.

I read recently that in the last few years, there have been 8 women murdered by immigrants to this country. There have been just shy of 300 murdered in the same time frame by british "born and bred" men. Which have we heard more about?

A quarter of people born in Britain are not English, Scots, N.Irish or Welsh, their self identified ethnic identities are from one of 195 other countries. "Britain is a "multi culture" therefore the 300 murders you quote are also "multi culture" murders.

To me 15 years is recent, I regularly used the Picadilly line as a teen.

I would bet my life there were sexual assaults on the tube like the one I described when you were a teenager.

Highly questionable and also a very vague time frame. What is your source?

I don't have time to google but I'm sure it was LBC as I was listening to that most of yesterday.

Interesting you find it highly questionable, when we all know and has been the case for a long time that 2-3 women a week are murdered by their partners or ex partners.

Why is it not valid? You haven’t explained why you think the western scenario is more ‘advanced’. Because they have social media to help them incite violence rather than just spears?

Again: what is the point of trying to pretend you don’t believe that Britain is more civilised than nations in which women and LGBT people have no rights?

Do you imagine that people hear this argument and think “oh yeah good point all morality is completely relative let’s vote Green” rather than “oh for fucks sake I’m so fed up with them taking us for idiots let’s vote Reform”?

There are always issues when people extrapolate from their own experience. I feel less sanguine on the tube these days.

I also remember having a talk at school on awareness of unattended bags in town and that was more likely to be on a public info poster than reminding you not to harrass women. Different days, different concerns.

I agree on the concerns. These days we are more worried about black labradors in far right countryside pubs.

For a start you can post this view on SM and nearly anything else you believe in. In other places you could be met with extreme violence by the state due to it. You’re lucky.

You were extrapolating from your own experience. I happily use the tube.

Very true. Marital rape was legal when I was a teenager but it was top of no politician's agenda, not even when we had a female PM. Neither was the terrible treatment of women who had been raped.

I associated that with staffies rather than labs. I may have to recalibrate my expectations. The guide dog assoc may have to rethink their brand too.

Actually yes, a society which has discovered electricity and developed the technology to generate it and transport it whilst also developing the technology that makes social media possible is more advanced than a tribe of naked people throwing sharpened bamboo around the jungle by many orders of magnitude. This is so obviously true that I'm not prepared to spend any more time on it, you've lost this one whether you concede the point or not.

Onto why your comparison isn't valid. We have had three decades of mass immigration. Throughout that time we have offered asylum and accepted refugees and in return we've received the Manchester Arena bombings and the Southport murders. We have an acute housing crisis, over-stretched public services and £3trillion of national debt. We have seen appalling numbers of rapes, murders and sexual assaults from men who are now being scattered around the country and placed into our communities in HMOs. Saying enough is enough, after all of that, is in no way similar to an uncivilised tribe killing outsiders who have been unfortunate enough to stumble into their path. Again, this is so obviously true that the continuation of this line of argument only serves to highlight your intellectual dishonesty.

Honestly, reading this thread, I'd encourage people not to bother arguing with this OP and certain posters on here. Of course there is a debate to be had around immigration, but you will never get any decent sense out of key posters on here because they are so profoundly racist, they can't even comprehend what racism is. They think people can't see through the words they type to their real agenda. Well we can!

If they wanted real, impartial evidence about the relationship between illegal immigrants and sexual violence, they could obtain an overview of all the relevant data and studies via AI. In 10 minutes, it could make them a detailed presentation with data, graphs, you name it, if that's what they actually profess they want to know. In fact, they already know this, which is why they would rather be on here, using selected anecdotes or data to pedal Elon Musk's or Farage's utter shite and cynical diversion tactics. Not noticing that while they're all frothing about this 1% of Britain's migrants, AI and the rest of the developing world are about to take their jobs and change their societies in ways none if us can even imagine.

To me 15 years is recent, I regularly used the Picadilly line as a teen.

There were tapes on the tube when I was a student in London during the late 80s/early 90s. We were provided with rape alarms and warned against travelling by tube late in the evenings on our own.

It really isn’t a recent thing at all.

I'd still call you racist, because believing that coming from another culture makes someone an automatic threat is still racist.

When was culture synonymous with "race" (whatever that may be) ?

I don’t believe Britain is more ‘civilised’ than anyone.
As I’ve already said the word civilised is an outdated term used as justification for subjugating people and it has no place in contemporary politics. I’m pretty shocked to be even having this discussion tbh.

Presumably you also came on here to convince us raving lefties why we’re wrong, so I’m asking questions to give you the opportunity to explain your position. Can you actually explain what you mean by civilised or advanced (actually explain not just ask another whataboutery question)?

Racists very rarely agree or admit they are racist.

Eta: MN is increasingly and very sadly getting a horrible reputation for hosting racism.
