To find this a really snobby comment from neighbour?

We moved our motor home out into the street earlier so we (DH, DD and I) could clean it.

A woman walked past with a child who made a comment, something innocuous about it being quite big.

The woman said ‘your lucky you never have to go in one of them and we can go abroad’.

I thought - you cheeky cow. We have had some great trips away over the years, and go abroad at times too. I wish I said something to her now!

When I see one parked in someone drive I assume they are quite well off !

Dh has been watching a couple on YouTube who have a motorhome and they look to have a brilliant time. They go all over the UK and have had some trips abroad. It wouldn't do for me as I couldn't get up into the bed but it's great watching them and seeing all the places they can just stop and look at whatever they want.

Been abroad lots but absolutely dying for a motor home. It is on my wishlis

You’d have come across an unhinged if you’d said something. Probably a mum trying to
prevent her child from pestering her about getting a motorhome in future. Maybe she’s not a fan. So what? How can you tell she goes on all inclusive holidays from her size? That’s quite mean spirited commenting on her body when she commented on a vehicle in conversation with her child.

This is crazy! We have a campervan and go away lots. We also go abroad plenty. Silly lady. We have had some amazing trips in the campervan

I’d love a motorhome - England, Wales & Scotland - so much to do and see! when our kids are a bit bigger - now stuck with all inclusive type in family friendly resorts. Perhaps she was jealous 😂

I would never say this in someone's earshot because I have friends and family who love the campervan lifestyle but

It's absolutely gross to go on a holiday that involves either shared loos or STORED SEWAGE

Maybe she was aware that they couldn't afford one, let alone a really big one, and was trying to reassure the child to be grateful for what they have. Who cares? It wasn't said to you, it was said to a child and it is absolutely ridiculous for you to have taken this so personally and to have been so snobby about TUI holidays and people's body shape.

Genuinely the best holidays are in motor homes/caravans. As the saying goes never look down on others as you never know what is ahead of you.
