To think Count Binface is doing a great job in the Clacton by-election?

Count down to Bin Day!

Count Binface has been out bigging-up Clacton and drawing attention to its potential.

It’s a really positive campaign.

I don’t think he’ll win but I’d love it if he did. I think he’d be brilliant.

And if he doesn’t, I think other candidates could learn a lot from his approach.

I hope Clacton benefits from all this. I’d be really sad if the attention just fades away after the media circus.

I hope at least some of the money thrown at the by-election benefits local businesses and people.

Well quite a few Americans know where it is now. Which when you consider their base level of geography is a small miracle.

There is a Punch and Judy show at Looe featuring Count Binface, tackling Punch on the cost of ice cream.

Gt Yarmouth (and the odious Rupert Lowe) are a good comparison with Clacton/Farage I think. Elected because people feel ignored and left behind, lot of poverty, lot of social problems and even reasonable tourism can't compensate. Along comes Mr Multi Millionaire, velvet collared coat and all and does he spend all his time working for the town?

Nooo...we have this nonsense

Is King Charles a ‘white Briton’? Restore Britain leader Rupert Lowe won’t say

Lowe questioned on BBC about definition in report for hard-right party that both parents need to be born in UK

This what confuses me. Not just the HOC dress code but as Count Binface has a Title, surely he is illegible to stand as a candidate - unless he revokes that title?
It happened to Sir Alec Douglas-Hulme - following Macmillan's resignation on 18 October 1963, Home succeeded as Prime Minister on 19 October, initially retaining his peerage before disclaiming it on 23 October under the newly enacted Peerage Act 1963 to contest a by-election for entry into the House of Commons.

Count isn’t a UK title so it doesn’t count.

Farage will win by a large margin. Not sure if this by election has any point to it 🤷‍♀️

If anyone reading can think of a more British thing, I'd like to know.

(I am surprised that some Reform snowflake hasn't called the police about inciting violence ....)

None whatsoever. That’s why the other parties have played a blinder. Farage just looks silly.

piscofrisco · 11/08/2026 16:49

His latest insta post is him speaking to other aliens about earth. I honestly love him.

And Count Binface is the perfect opponent. Intelligent, good-natured, and with a brilliantly nonsensical manifesto that would make anyone trying to have a serious argument look ridiculous.

Farage thought there was a point presumably, hence resigning in a flouncy huff. The by-election wouldn’t be happening if he’d just done the job he was elected to do.

sittingonabeach · 11/08/2026 17:00

As Farage has done nothing for the residents of Clacton and then called this farcical by-election I do struggle to see why they would elect him again. It’s obvious he won’t do anything for them second time around

And answered the perfectly legitimate questions about the very large sums of money that have landed in his bank account.

@EmailsaysOOO did Binface turn up at church in the actual bin?

No, she said it was his normal human appearance. I don't know who told her that the person was Binface. It wasn't publicised anywhere and I don't know if the public knows about his real life appearance. My MIL, as with her son and daughter though, is incapable of telling an untruth so I know it has to be true. Unless the whole congregation was lied to.

Who knows how often he might continue to attend if he was to win but it's a good thing to do at this stage, to my.mind

Don't call them stupid.

I haven’t. But the excuse for voting for someone like Farage is usually because they see the other parties not helping them. But he’s done bugger all for them too. May as well vote for Binface because ironically he may actually get something done!

katia2 · 11/08/2026 18:14

Farage even tried to escape responsibility for the costs incurred in calling this totally unnecessary by-election by saying he would pay for it himself. While it would only cost him a small proportion of his £5m 'gift', this putative Prime Minister is so ignorant that he doesn't even know that it's against parliamentary law. Votes for sale, anyone?

Yes please. I'll have two.

77yearsyoung · 11/08/2026 18:16

This is serious.
Your silly comments make you all look shallow and entitled.

Clacton needs sensible representation and if Labour and Conservative weren't so frightened of failure they would have put up candidates.
The shenanigans going on to discredit Reform are underhand and it's obvious Labour and Conservative are scared that their position on either side of the House which they have held, arguing and barracking each other like children for far to long are in jeopardy.
This country is on its knees, deep in debt without decent defence and a struggling NHS.
Pull your socks up ladies, this isn’t a joke, it's our future.
Count Binface should remove his fancy dress costume and put forward sensible plans for Clacton.

Who says he hasn't ? Which of his policies do you object to, and which do you agree with ?
