5th date last night, ended up back at mine and had sex. Have really enjoyed his company and green flags galore up to that point so it felt natural. This morning, he text to say how much he enjoyed last night and wants to see me again (he suggested a date idea). I replied agreeing and discussing potential dates which work. He then referred to last night and said ‘shame its not Cheltenham racing this time of the year as you would be a great jockey’. I played dumb and asked what he meant, he said he was just joking. Is that an acceptable joke for you because it feels a bit seedy for my liking?! But I do think a lot of him from dates so far.

I do not see any need to mention sex in conversation at all. Men should be happy enough just to get sex from us, having to discuss it afterwards is beyond the pale IMO.

‘Get sex from us’ like we’re robots that exist to service men 🤮 sex is supposed to be mutually enjoyable, not something we ‘give’ to men.

Well I am feeling vindicated after his response to my perfectly polite message earlier. He initially replied in a kind manner then followed it up with ‘can’t lie, a bit gutted I never got to sample that arse 😂‘

Bullet dodged!

NGL, that was kinda funny 😅

Bleachedjeans · 10/08/2026 20:25

You are possibly offended because it’s a blokey sex joke rather than a romantic, sexy comment.

Rimming, I imagine.

🤮

JHound · 10/08/2026 21:29

It’s a shit joke but I would not consider it dumpworthy. It does annoy me when men sexualise everything once we have had sex as it makes me assume they just want something casual (and I have largely been correct in thinking that.

Ok and like clock work….I was right!

Katigee410 · 10/08/2026 21:33

I'd say he's trying to carry on the flirting and pay you a compliment but in a clumsy bloke way

JHound · 10/08/2026 21:35

Arsenal25 · 10/08/2026 17:33

I didn’t reply to ask, unsurprisingly. But he did ‘jokingly’ reference that when drunk, so I’d imagine so.

I thought he meant anal!

He will find someone else who enjoys that sort of comment I’m sure, but that person isn’t me.

Know your worth, ladies x

Good for you, OP. Listening to your feelings and acting correspondingly is a good way to go. Wish I'd trusted mine sooner.

“ know your worth ladies “ 🙄 .
You kinda sound ridiculous, it was a joke fgs.
Let’s hope he finds someone a little more relaxed .

I've gotten my smelling salts out and am firmly clutching my pearls.

How dare he joke about her riding him like a jockey after she rode him like a jockey!

Is there no etiquette left in the world?

It's rough imo. No pearl clutching here, just standards. You can have great sex but it doesn't have to be referred to in such a coarse way. There's ways of talking dirty and sexy without resorting to crudeness. We're all different....and everyone gets turned or put off by different things.

You mean rough, not relaxed.
You can be hugely sexual without resorting to crude. We're clearly all different

Well I’m not at all rough & i would have taken that as a joke 🤷🏻‍♀️.
It was a bit of craic , Jesus Christ !
It wasn’t sexy flirting, it was just a bit of banter.

Yes, we are all different.

It’s just I don’t think that was his idea of being sexy .
I think he was just making a joke if that makes sense .

You can always reply back, "Sorry mate, but jockeys just aren't interested in riding jackasses."

Imdunfer · 12/08/2026 07:51

The guy had a woman telling him, or behaving as if, he was the best thing since sliced bread for 5 dates, (so many green flags), had enthusiastic sex with him on the 5th date, who then dropped him like a hot stone the next morning after one joke that she didn't even try to discuss with him, and people are surprised the he followed up with the arse comment?

Men aren't allowed to be hurt by rejection on MN, of course.

Yes, but if you have not long dismounted from him it doesn"t have the same effect, it just telegraphs that your jackass radar is broken.
