AIBU to worry about large numbers of undocumented men arriving in Spain?

1000 replies

MaturingCheeseball · 30/07/2026 17:34

Thousands of young men from Morocco and beyond swimming to Spain. Spain obviously has encouraged the problem with their amnesty for existing migrants, but thousands more arriving with no means of support and undocumented is going to cause huge problems. Large numbers will no doubt be ultimately trying to reach the UK.

It’s harsh, but we cannot accept infinite numbers of men.

It's the latest ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT PANIC thread. Hello Russian agents! 👋

😆 🤣

Yours would be blown sky high if you knew what went on in Dubai.

Yes, lots of extremely rich people behaving appallingly there too.
I used a very heard of example because I was surprised that that poster has never heard of the extremely rich and privileged raping underage girls. How the Epstein files passed them by without them noticing is quite astonishing.

Oh, the irony darling. Read my post!!!! "Pathetic 👏 country 👏 like 👏 the 👏 UK".

No doubt they’ll be dreaming of the UK and Ireland where they get hotel accommodation, hot meals, no vetting etc weekly pay. They’ll be here soon.
What the heck is wrong with the European government who is allowing mass immigration, legal and illegal.

EmBear91 · 30/07/2026 19:19

Have you not heard of the Epstein files?

Oh i'm sorry. Of course I have. If I could do something about that I would. I can however vote for a party that may actually do something about migrants.

I'm not sure why the pp brought billionnaires into the thread. It's not as though all billionnaires are white anyway, was my point about Dubai.

We have a falling birth rate, immigration is part of the solution so the country can survive.

TopPocketFind · 30/07/2026 20:19

I never get this argument. Yes we have enough of our own arseholes that we can’t do anything about, so let’s just let in more undocumented men from places where people don’t visit/go anywhere near for a reason, where women are treated like second class citizens, and homosexuality is a no no, as a starter for ten for potential problems.

Because you know, the majority of rapists are white men so it’s ok. 🙄

Make that make sense.

It's those homegrown men who are out rioting to protect women and girls

Do you think if we stop asylum seekers coming to the UK, the issues will just vanish?

It's very easy to blame a small group.

Of course governments are bothered! What an odd thing to say.

I am not sure many Moroccan will come to the UK. They will be more attracted to Spain as it already has a very large Moroccan community.

Spain as compared to the UK is a safer country, with better public healthcare, constitutionally protected fundamental rights, employment laws which protect employees properly from discrimination, proper policies on addressing gender imbalance in the workplace, in the home, in large companies and in our political parties, less violent crime, proper rehabilitation programs and humane prisons, proper laws to protect victims of domestic violence, better protection for children and fewer bigots.

We have humane immigration laws geared towards assisting those in an irregular situation to regularise it and live and work here. The UK should give it a try.

Don't worry - I doubt many people who can live here will want to move to the UK in its current state.

Selective immigration, yes - that is the whole point.

But Poland isn’t an island. If we had a massive fence with armed guards and no HRA and no Supreme Court then yeah we could do what they do but if a dinghy full of human beings are in the channel and about to sink we have an obligation to go and save them. And thanks to Brexit we can’t just send them back to France.

I mean I don't think anyone should let them die. But many nations aren't party to the refugee convention. There's no right to apply for asylum. Many nations just detain the illegal migrants and deport them.

Yes, we should all be made to feel guilty, open our arms to those who tear up their ID. What could go wrong.

Women in Morocco are less likely to be able to swim than men - so that helps explain it.

You are joking I assume. As records show that women who attempt the crossing rarely make it as they’re raped and tossed out of the boat.

It is not that they cannot swim, because it is too dangerous to travel alongside these men.

No.

Still not a reason to let in undocumented men from misogynistic cultures. Why don’t the defenders of this pop over to Sudan or Afghanistan for a jolly and see how you get on.

mrshoho · 30/07/2026 20:23

They can't be seeking asylum if they are from Morocco though can they? So are they coming as migrant workers? Why are they running in like that? Does this tie in with the King of Morocco's early prison release/pardon day?

Signalbox · 30/07/2026 20:24

deadpantrashcan · 30/07/2026 20:09

Farage does not have the safety of women in mind. At all. Not in the slightest.

I suspect Burnham doesn’t have the safety of women and girls in mind either but time will tell. Starmer certainly didn’t despite promising to half the rate of vawg (whilst simultaneously planning to let rapists and paedos out of prison having served a third of their sentences). Atm Burnham is possibly our only hope of avoiding a Reform led government. Let’s hope for all our sakes he gets a grip on the situation.

Selective immigration, yes - that is the whole point.

From regions and nations that are culturally similar to us and pose low crime risks.

There are reasons some people can come with just an ETA. And others need a visa

Yeah that’s true but we can’t leave the ECHR so the only alternatives we have are either third country agreements like Rwanda, which the court blocked, or trying to process claims as quick as we can and hope for stormy weather.

It doesn’t matter how many threads people make or how many times you threaten to vote for Reform, there is no other option. There is one solution and Labour is doing it.

Unfortunately those laws don’t apply only to war-zone areas. They pretend to be gay escaping persecution and a lot of other blatant lies. It’s easy, if they refuse you sure you just stay in the country illegally.

There was nothing wrong with the Rwanda deal.

We have a falling birth rate, immigration is part of the solution so the country can survive.

Reducing the population is more likely to help the country survive in the long run rather than increasing it, both in terms of environmental impact and economics.
