Thousands of young men from Morocco and beyond swimming to Spain. Spain obviously has encouraged the problem with their amnesty for existing migrants, but thousands more arriving with no means of support and undocumented is going to cause huge problems. Large numbers will no doubt be ultimately trying to reach the UK.

It’s harsh, but we cannot accept infinite numbers of men.

It's very easy to blame a small group.

Spain as compared to the UK is a safer country, with better public healthcare, constitutionally protected fundamental rights, employment laws which protect employees properly from discrimination, proper policies on addressing gender imbalance in the workplace, in the home, in large companies and in our political parties, less violent crime, proper rehabilitation programs and humane prisons, proper laws to protect victims of domestic violence, better protection for children and fewer bigots.

We have humane immigration laws geared towards assisting those in an irregular situation to regularise it and live and work here. The UK should give it a try.

They can't be seeking asylum if they are from Morocco though can they? So are they coming as migrant workers? Why are they running in like that? Does this tie in with the King of Morocco's early prison release/pardon day?

I suspect Burnham doesn’t have the safety of women and girls in mind either but time will tell.
