AIBU to worry about large numbers of undocumented men arriving in Spain?

MaturingCheeseball · 30/07/2026 17:34

Thousands of young men from Morocco and beyond swimming to Spain. Spain obviously has encouraged the problem with their amnesty for existing migrants, but thousands more arriving with no means of support and undocumented is going to cause huge problems. Large numbers will no doubt be ultimately trying to reach the UK.

It’s harsh, but we cannot accept infinite numbers of men.

I don’t think it’s that the government is unbothered, it’s just extremely difficult to deal with.

Australia seem to manage it?

Ah yes, the demographic is shifting so quickly. Seems to me that it's secular people that we need to be most worried about taking over 🤔

The secular people are the natives though, that's not a takeover.

You've failed to address my point, you implied things that are untrue, such as Spain being so much safer or that we dont have proper employment rights. But if you're genuinely interested, you can start with the Equalities Act if you like?

Also, just so you know, it comes across as incredibly arrogant to assume we're all thick and only you, someone in Spain, has fully grasped British laws or lack of them.

Please feel free to give more detail on fundamental rights in the UK.

The Equality Act is notoriously flawed

https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cdp-2025-0178/ read here for information on this.

If you have key points to share about exactly which protections it offers and how they are enforced I would love to hear it.

One of our fundamental rights is the right to legal representation - which is why our legal aid system means that anyone on a low income can access an abogado de oficio in immigration matters, mercantile matters, civil matters, labour matters, civil matters....

The ability to self represent in the UK (something we don't have here) is a great way to excuse not providing this access to proper representation, which is often course detrimental to those on a low income who if they have a legal issue to resolve and don't meet the stringent criteria to access legal aid in the UK are left floundering trying to figure out an extremely complex common law based system with far fewer clearly codified laws and, as previously mentioned no written, codified constitution while their wealthier equivalent pays a lawyer to use their years of training and experience to represent them.

Anyway. Please. Walk me through your rights as a British resident.

Here are ours.

Do we need to declare our religious preference? I am English, agnostic, but I love the Book of Common Prayer and and the King James Bible, because the language is so beautiful.

All of them? I'm secular and not a 'native'. I know many others like me. We are sneaky like that, you won't see us coming.....

Bulgarians and Romanians were also used as a threat because of their natural criminal natures.

Are you aware how foul that statement is? Bulgarians and Romanians do not have "natural criminal natures".

My god.

It's 6% overall. At eg primary school age, the numbers look quite different. I'm not saying we'll be a Muslim-majority country in ten years, but yes the demographic is going to shift a lot, between that and inward migration.

Where I used to I've, where my parents still live, it is way way more than 6% white British are not the majority at all according to the census).
Many areas are no go. Many areas are like slums. Rubbish everywhere, misogenistic men walking 10 ft in front of their niquab/burkha clad wife. Young girls dressed head to toe in black. Education under extra stress as there are so many different languages in the classroom. Evenings out in town ruined due to gangs of very handy aggressive men.

I don't want my daughters growing up with this, thinking it is normal and acceptable.

Australia does not have the ECHR or HRA.

Culturally criminal Bulgarians and Romanians, perhaps, but your post is going to get you banned for a fortnight. I won't report.

Do you get many billionaires raping 12 year olds? And don't try telling me we have rapists in this country i know so there is no need to increase the probability of it happening.

Jeffrey Epstein, among others.

Well if it will happen it will be a gradual process and we will get used to it I guess.

EppingTrain · 30/07/2026 22:04

Many EU nations have given citizenship now to the migrants wave of 2015..... Do you want them to have "free movement" to come here?

localnotail · 30/07/2026 22:05

Papyrophile · 30/07/2026 21:49

I don't read the Mail, I'm in the process of moving from the country to a city for retirement, and there are lots of people moving to my new city who are leaving Birmingham just because it is becoming majority and aggressively ethnic.

Its a known fact that there are certain places where minorities concentrate - they tend to live together. There are also a lot of places in the UK where there are hardly any non-white people.

Looking at the video and news reports thousands of mainly young men either swam a short distance around a corner to reach the shore but also just marched and ran straight through an open gate on the land border. The border does not seem to be heavily protected so maybe Spain are more than happy to allow this. Maybe they are hoping to hand this enclave over to Morocco?

EppingTrain · 30/07/2026 22:12

EU freedom of movement drastically accelerated the expansion, efficiency, and reach of Romanian organised crime groups (OCGs) in the UK. It was very hard to deport them

user281262 · 30/07/2026 22:14

Spain has recently been handing out residency to illegal immigrants like sweeties. This was bound to happen. They will keep on coming and how many will remain in Spain which is already under lots of unemployment and housing pressure.

they gave over 800k residency last month.
