What's something that men think is impressive, but really isn't?

Beep beep, come on traffic

Speaking of traffic, mine is when men (or boys, rather) rev their bloody engines on their cars that sound like they're about to explode. No, please, don't speed off, open the boot to your clapped out Corsa, I want to get in.

Also since going back to the gym, forgot how awful the men are there for showing off. There's this one in particular at my gym and idk if he's just mentally deranged or what but anytime he does any exercise he roars like a buffoon and I feel my vagina drying up a little more each time. It is so unnecessary. He will be easing his way through bicep curls, pretty much screaming and grunting for each one. Also has a horrifically embarassing habit of punching his chest, twice, every so often.

Give me your opinions and stories; what is something that men do that they think is impressive, but really, really isn't...

make my Saturday evening ✨

Drinking a lot of alcohol
Jumping into a pool with a huge splash

Yes!!! Never understand the high alcohol tolerance brag. It's impressive if you're like 17 and never beyond that.

It costs you more to get as drunk as me after 3 drinks, congratulations. Way to showcase your alcoholism.

Taking the bins out. Apparently it deserves no less than a massive round of applause, a magnum of champagne on ice and a fanfare!

My ex took the bins out one time, a few days after I birthed our DD. Never again after that. Didn't stop banging on about since, genuinely, anytime I asked him to do anything, "I only took the bins out last week!" (2 months later)

The chips comment would have me laughing so hard if he meant it seriously I'd probably stay with him for comedy value if he came out with stuff like that.

It would be a perfect marriage: I'd be laughing and smiling at him all day, he'd be thinking I was impressed by him.

I also found this so obnoxious that it just came full circle back to being hilarious

Anytime I've asked a man 5'10 or over how tall he is, they always say 6ft+ lmao, if I even have to ask. I normally am told their height before their name smh

I wasn't doubting your experiences but why lie it's obvious if your not stretch Armstrong

Cutting the cord after birth, apparently this makes them the 'creator of life'. Um noooo, the women do that.

No fucking way does any man think that makes them the creator of life??? Oh wait, of course they do...

Didn't have my ex at either of my births as I knew he'd just make it about him, and how amazing and impressive and supportive he was throughout 🙄

I know lol I was just joking, and seriously idk where they get off lying to our faces like that. My first ever boyfriend was 5'6 and told everyone he was 5'9. It was so embarassing, who do they think they're fooling?? Themselves???

An Audi S3.

Oh, okay, it is very impressive. I am just envious that my male colleague has just bought one 😁

I ride a Volvo B7RLE. Impressed? 😏

A man once said to me that he has no idea how women shave their ankles without cutting themselves Confused

I'm actually speechless

Telling jokes. If someone (always a man) tells a joke at a party, people will step and listen and will laugh at the punchline (politely or genuinely). This is fine. What is not fine is then telling a series of jokes and expecting the audience to carry on listening.

God I almost always hate punchline jokes. A man asking me if he can tell me a joke Is the equivalent of asking me if he can finger me. Painful, boring and disappointing. Next

He didn't need to think I was impressed with him, he was impressed enough with himself. The chips comment wasn't his best. That was probably, "The biggest problem I have is that I can always see things from everyone else's point of view."

Last I heard, he'd married someone who looked as if she'd have a panic attack if you invited her to eat a chip, and they'd both gone vegan.

Edited

Matcha is disgusting, wired headphones suck, and no man should be ever wearing a tote bag. All of these things just say 'bit of a twat' to me tbh

Holding their arms out by their side when they walk, so their upper arms are held away from their torso, its also men with skinny noodle arms too.

nowt wrong with any of the things listed, it's the affected soft boy adoption of them to try and rizz up the huzz that's a bit lame

Hard agree. Used to have a joke about that walk, you're supposed to pretend you're carrying two rolls of carpet under each arm and walk with one broken leg. That'll impress the ladies. Works everytime
