I know many people don't like Owen Jones, but I found this article deeply disturbing.

I am a child of immigrants, and my children are mixed race. So things like this are really starting to worry me.

I completely understand why people are angry at the current rate and quality of immigration (my own family are also disgruntled with it). But Restore want to deport even those who have citizenship.

And I am genuinely concerned that things are going to get worse than Farage if the government don't get a grip on this.

A desire is very different from actually doing it.

They are doing it.
That are replacing some of our Yorkshire stone flags that people have been asking Labour for for years, clearing chewing gum from pedestrianised areas, and generally cleaning town centres up. Little things that make a big difference.
Local response from FB community groups and businesses regarding their engagement with local businesses and townspeople is apparently very good.
The Reform Council Leader is Karl Johnson - he's out and about and very visible, swishing his hair....

It truly would lift the nation if we could get rid of all th money laundering businesses on every high street and get rid of all the non English speaking unemployed people in our council housing. The whole morale of the country would lift. These people don’t contribute to our society, they drag it down.

Getting rid of the money laundering businesses would be fantastic.

What would you do with all of the non-English-speaking unemployed people in council houses? Would you do the same to a white British unemployed person in a council house? There are loads of white British people who are a drain on society.

(like my next-door neighbours, in their 40s, probably never worked. I see them getting their methadone every day at the chemist, and they are also small time dealers who spend their whole time screaming and shouting at each other and having loud get togethers. I would love it if you could get rid of them.)

Labour got hold of our borough pre the last council election. We’ve now got filthy pavements, scruffy parks, unpruned trees, facile signs stuck every where and plastic foliage festooned seating areas bunged in the shopping centre for yoofs to hang about in. WTF is wrong with them. Terrible.

I don’t think turning every point of improvement into a swamp of souped up ‘ whatabouts’ is how we improve things. If you decide to hoover your house, do you decide perhaps not to bother, as you actually need a new loo seat? No.

one job at a time.

@Gingerkittykat
Sadly we cannot get rid of the home-grown waste of spaces.
The rest... why are they our responsibility??

This is why lots of long held Labour councils fell- mine included. It had only ever been Labour.
Complacency. They didn't listen to the constituents.
