2 Tier Britain and Policing - Digwa

1000 replies

Wellwhatnowbellaboo · 02/06/2026 09:12

Just heard Nigel talk about this on LBC following Digwa sentencing. Also saw the video... I'm shocked and so saddened. Not sure what my aibu is but I think we need to ban all religious weapons for a start . What do u think ? Are you in police ? Are you treating people differently?

I am and a lot more but then I am not the Home Secretary. And there is still a ongoing live investigation.

I don't feel pure cold rage though.

And ofcourse people use different wordings for different situations. Farage compared the BLM protests to "a new form of Taliban" and during the Sarah Everard urged people not to attack the police.

You disagree with Mahmood's statement?

Farage compared the BLM protests to "a new form of Taliban"

I think he was referring to the toppling of statues. He was probably thinking of this;
2001 Taliban order all statues destroyed

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2001/feb/27/afghanistan.rorymccarthy

You disagree with Mahmood's statement?

I thought her choice of word 'disquieted' was wrong - as I have already stated up thread.

I don't feel pure cold rage though

What is the definition of 'pure cold rage'? Red hot rage would suggest volatile, agressive anger.

Gloriia · 04/06/2026 16:05

'was it you who tried to claim the George Floyd and Henry Novak cases were comparable'

No it was me, all there if you read the thread. I was referring to a pp saying NF had 'politicised' Henry's tragic death when we all know many politicians were busy 'politicising' and 'taking the knee' after the death of a man in the US. So yes, while their deaths were of course different the incompetent policing and widespread outrage was comparable.

We either accept free speech and protests or we don't. We shouldn't agree only if we side with what the protestors are saying.

You’ve been on here for pages and pages commenting and I’m not about to go all the way back just to prove a point, but I’ve seen bits of your posts, including you enjoying claiming that white people are being subjected to racism and calling everyone who disagrees with you a gaslighter. Is that a go to?

I’m a white woman, and don’t think I am a victim of racism.

I think the (generally) white men who people are critical of aren’t victims of racism either, they’re rightfully acknowledged to be violent idiots.

The police are so scared of 'institutional racism' accusations that they can't see the woods for the trees. As tragically demonstrated here.

You shouldn't write off those with concerns as violent idiots. Unless you call everyone 'violent idiots' who protest?

I don’t think I’m a victim of racism either. A good litmus test is that I bet my life if I asked any black person if they’ve ever experienced racist abuse, close to 100% would say yes. Ask that same thing of a white person, I bet not that many would say yes.

I find it horrible that people are almost salivating at the opportunity to scream racism and about how white people are being targeted whenever something happens to a white person, but are completely fine about it the other way round, and anybody who points it out is told to stop playing the race card, there is no racism in the U.K. and they completely deny what happened. It’s infuriating.

The irony is, this rage is all totally manufactured for political gain. Not so long ago, people hated Eastern Europeans and would have made someone with a name like Novak’s life hell, but now they’re all sympathetic because it suits.

So no answer on the rest of the speech but suggestions that Farage didn't mean what he said.

Gloriia · 04/06/2026 16:30

'I find it horrible that people are almost salivating at the opportunity to scream racism'

No one is 'salivating', no one is screaming. Many people have serious concerns about some of the crap policing in this country and it is ok to call it out.

Gloriia · 04/06/2026 16:31

'What is the definition of 'pure cold rage'? Red hot rage would suggest volatile, agressive anger.'

Well exactly. It's not rocket science is it.

LuckyHazelFox · 04/06/2026 16:32

The George Floyd comparison is only being swatted away because it's too close to the truth. It's nothing to do with the cause of both deaths, its about the difference in Starmer's response and the fact that it was ok to call for a public uprise then but not now. bet he's regretting taking the knee when he was opposing leader. Embarrassing. The other dope, Streeting has now waded in making things worse for Labour.

Wes Streeting has just lost the argument against Nigel Farage https://share.google/5GdaPIucUDXfrTSKF

Starmer didn’t call for a public uprising. And if you’re going to link to the Telegraph at least have the decency to warn us.

Your last paragraph doesn't show you in a good light. In fact, it's disgusting.

'It's nothing to do with the cause of both deaths, its about the difference in Starmer's response and the fact that it was ok to call for a public uprise then but not now'

This!

'Yeah but no but the cause of death was different and and it was a global movement' Confused.

It's the reactions we're on about not the death certificates.

Yes, but he knew what he was doing. The language was ambiguous enough to be interpreted in different ways. , and given that a significant number of his followers are thugs who just want to cause violence, it was obvious to anyone with half a brain cell what was going to happen.

He picked his words carefully so that he could still claim plausible deniability. Guess what happened? Oh yes, what a surprise to absolutely fucking no one.

Gloriia · 04/06/2026 16:36

'Starmer didn’t call for a public uprising'

'Taking the knee' enabled and encouraged all the rabble rousing.

I don’t care, it’s the truth, even if it makes you uncomfortable. If Novak had been the one to stab a British person, Farage would have jumped on it and claimed he was a foreign national. Polish people got the same treatment in the 2000s as brown people do now.

AlternativeView · 04/06/2026 16:39

@LuckyHazelFox I've not read that but I heard mandelson said streeting is very immature. ..

Indont know much about any of them but it all sounds ridiculous

Do i need fo repost the link to the June 2020 violent disorder? If you have a couple of ministers kneeling down it absolutely encourages it.

I hate to break it to you but Starmer and Rayner weren’t in government in 2020.

I wouldn't be talking about uncomfortable truths on this very thread. You know that much about the Polish that you've spelt Henry's surname wrong - twice

I'm surprised Mandelson was ever given such a high profile position. He seems very immature himself to say the least and a right indiscreet gossip.

Kneeling is not violent

One of the rioters who reacted to pure cold rage had 25 previous convictions for 55 offences.

I'm sure he meant the Taliban reference to the toppling of statues.

Genuinely though, what is the definition of 'pure cold rage'? I've only heard of 'red hot rage' which suggests volatile, aggressive anger.
