Yes, and I’m not condoning that, but my point is that it seems as though people seem to paint white people as angels and all black and Asians as criminals, perverts and rapists, pay absolutely no mind to the levels of discrimination and dehumanising treatment levelled at ethnic minorities on a daily basis, and even deny it, but the moment something involves a white person being harmed, it is outrageous! Society is going backwards! Scream victimhood!
I mean, the bloke was a Sikh, so doesn’t fit the usual narrative about Muslims. The far right say it’s not about skin colour, it’s about Islam, it’s not about skin colour, it’s about legal vs illegal immigration, oh no it’s not about legal vs legal immigration, it’s about migration full stop. Which is it? Because it’s all over the place and seems to be about what suits at any given time.
A few years ago, Eastern Europeans were the scapegoated group. Now, what do you think would have happened if a guy with a name of Polish origin like Henry Novak had stabbed someone with a name like John Smith? Farage at al. would be calling for his head saying he isn’t British, he’s an immigrant!!! And equally, what would happen if a white British person, or any white person stabbed a someone of ethnic minority? Crickets, of course! This has only been jumped on because it suits.
Can you not see?? This shit happens to ethnic minorities every day and no one cares. It’s infuriating to read. We are not superior to anybody. All lives do matter, but the reason the BLM movement came about is because for years black lives didn’t seem to matter. There was, and still is, an imbalance of power between Black and White people
As for why people aren’t taking the knee and making a fuss, it’s because the incidents are not the same. A policeman deliberately and needlessly killed George Floyd. That didn’t happen with Henry. What happened was that he wasn’t believed. It wasn’t police brutality, and to suggest otherwise is just opportunistic.
I’m not excusing it, the policemen involved need to be brought to justice, but they are not the same scenarios but have been capitalised on for point scoring.
