Did anyone else buy the ring thing you put in a vase and it immediately turned your flowers into an amazing styled bouquet. In reality the flower stalks are always too thick to fit through the holes and no matter which vase you use it always is the wrong size and looks rubbish .

Sidebeforeself · 31/05/2026 22:05

Love my Purdy and Fig stuff!

dRMTLGY tinted moisturiser.. doesn’t do a thing

Countour strapless bra .. useless. Tripped over my boobs almost!

Trinny .. can’t remember exact name but it was some sort of miracle product to blur the lines around your mouth. Didn’t.

Yup I bought that!!!!! I think I have everything on this thread so far 😂😂

Sidebeforeself · 31/05/2026 22:07

Oh and I love my Foldie! Had it for years

Skyflier · 31/05/2026 22:08

Josephinemylove · 31/05/2026 20:24

@Skyflieri tried them and whilst they looked good and felt soft, the adhesive band stayed really sticky and when I woke up my eyes felt stuck together and it drove me mad so I took them off

I read a few reviews that said the same. I’ll just keep my salon ones I think

the spiraliser. Courgette is still courgette when it’s twirly!

Snap!

My spiraliser has been gathering dust and god knows what else in the back of the cupboard for years now. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but who can be arsed going to all that trouble for 'courgetti'. Cleaning is a faff too. All very 2017.

Wild Deodorant. By the end of the day I smelled of onions so back to antiperspirant gel I went

Oh I love my wild deoderant, I feel fresh all day and it doesn't hurt my sensitive skin. Funny how different things work for different people.

Yes my husband still uses it. But for me, it made me stink.

We used the toilet cleaner and it worked for us.

But we now have a water softener and so don't need it at all as normal cleaning does the job, no more limescale.

I didn’t realise it was for limescale😬🤣 I thought it was just to keep the toilet bowl a bit brighter and make cleaning easier. This is my problem though - I don’t read things properly. We don’t really get limescale here as it isn’t a hard water area.

The jelly bras - good but size up !

The camping shower - leaks so much there’s only a dribble that comes out 😭

The suction hooks - they are ok until you hang something and then they fall off the wall.

The noodle pan - it’s ok and does avoid using the cooker.

The shower gem shelf thing - brilliant product

The removable toilet seat - good but get the right shape !

The Zoflora bundles - yes I love zoflora

The hot chocolate maker - chocolate sticks to the bottom and is a nightmare to clean

There are products I’ve resisted temptation on, promise !!

IcedPurple · 31/05/2026 22:29

Anyone had luck with a sound bar? I got mine as part of a special price 'bundle' with my new TV. I believed the hype that it would really improve the sound quality but most of the time it doesn't connect with the TV and often the sound is muffled. Waste of 100 quid.

Never in my life have I known suction hooks to work. Even when they're only holding something light like toilet paper they come crashing down with a loud bang. And yes, I follow the instructions, clean the wall and so on. Useless things.

The Trinny neck stuff? I heard her talk about it on a podcast and how many repeat purchases there are. Is it rubbish?

I’m quite a big fan of the neck stuff by Trinny. Though I can’t work out if it’s because I’m actually moisturising my neck which I never did before and therefore any old stuff would do or if it’s actually decent. I like the smell of it though so have carried on purchasing!

I keep checking back to see if there is more that I “need” 😳

Me too! This I the reason I actually need to go on ‘Sort your life out’ so I can shock myself with the sheer amount of crap I’ve been persuaded to buy over the years!

WithLoveFromMyselfToYourself · 31/05/2026 22:57

I was influenced by terrific online marketing content into putting a Paper Republic Grand Voyager leather journal on my Christmas list. I got one and I bloody love that thing! It was all due to online exposure though, I still don't know anyone else in real life who has one.

We bought a spiraliser and we do use it but rarely. Increasingly if we are low carbing I prefer to just thinly slice cabbage and blanch it with boiling water in the colander.

Foofedifiknow · 31/05/2026 23:18

Influenced don’t regret - life enhancing!

scrub Daddy - it is amazing

Water 2 filter
Dirtea
innumerable hair products
anything by Ordinary
that viral diamanté square neck next dress

influenced and resisted ✌
Purdy Fig

Hankunamatata · 31/05/2026 23:40

Facebook

None wire bra conturve - not bad to be fair

Laura gellar baked foundation - got trial of 3 colours so found perfect shade and now obsessed

Bob - shower soap thingy - teens loving it it but refills are a bit pricey

Neat and who gives a crap (but buy in tesco now anyway)

Trinny make up - was ok but fell out of love with it

Ancient and brave collagen - not convinced did anything but made coffee creamy. Chnaged brands as pricey but may go back

Nutrition geeks - tumeric have me heartburn and theor collagen gives me stomach ache

MrsLFii · 31/05/2026 19:17

Oh! Wild deodorant (lovely but obviously didn’t stop the sweat, fine in winter, was not okay for warmer weather which leads me to…) then antiperspirant (amazing, 10/10, my easily irritated skin is the best it’s ever been and it actually works, and the amber and oud is DIVINE!) also the body wash, very nice too.

What is "then antiperspirant" please?

OnceYoureToastYouCanNeverBeBread · 01/06/2026 07:01

@Negroany I wondered that too, then I googled Amber and oud antiperspirant , seemingly Wild make antiperspirant now as well.

I've just thought of another.

Pestects mosquito repellent wrist bands. They are shite. I used them in Italy, I got 5 bites all along the edge of the wrist band and loads all over my body. I don't know where the good reviews come from. Maybe from people who don't get bitten anyway.

YES! Although this time it was my MIL who purchased them
Like you I got bitten under the bands!

For me it was the dancing coke can wearing sunglasses back in the 80s! Everyone got one!
I fell for the Crimpet, absolutely bloody useless, too small for a normal wrap and I seemed to end up with 2! Gave one away and can honestly say, we both have them in the drawer and don't use them!
Fell for Method Rhubarb antibac spray, then realised less than a quarter of a way in I hated the smell!
I'm an advertisers dream, so no doubt I'll think of more! 🤣

I love my crimpet!!
And I also love my method rhubarb spray (but I bought that by chance at the supermarket - hadn't seen any advertising)

I'm now tempted to buy some Halara shorts, just been googling real nordic socks and am tempted to buy a bloody crimpit!!!!!
I need help 🤦‍♀️

Please don’t buy a Crimpit! 🤣

Tymo hair smoothing tool : excellent quality and did what it claimed. So much so I bought the curling device, also excellent.

Sleeping mask with built in headphones. Terrible. I think maybe there’s a legit brand which is ok. But from the Facebook ad I used I got a comically large foam thing with small hard round speakers embedded randomly in the sides, not at all aligned to where human ears would be that dug into your skull when lying on your side.
The controls were on the forehead (also embedded in foam) and you had to poke yourself in the head super hard to play/pause etc. had them on for about 11 minutes, followed by a further 3 years gathering dust in my bedside drawer.

🤣🤣🤣
