I have fallen for so many of the things people have listed on here 🤦‍♀️
I desperately want to try a stick on gel nail like Holy gels. Has anyone used them??
I fell for the awful powder dip ones (glam drip) which are now sat in a cupboard collecting dust..... (along with il makage and upcircle.....)
God whats wrong with me?!

I've got another one - Colour Wow. Bloody useless.

Luxe foundation, actually quite like this one.

I've got stick on nails, they're OK. But they don't last ages and are quite hard to do.

MrsShawnHatosy · 31/05/2026 10:11

Skin Bunny eye cream. Said it would get rid of dark circles. Does it heck.

BitOutOfPractice · 31/05/2026 10:13

I’m currently wearing cheap Amazon stick on nails as I had to take mine off for an op and my nail tech is very selfishly on holiday. They’re ok. They look really fake but they’ve been in 4 days now with no loss.

Oh I forgot the stuff from the 90s!
I was also the proud owner of the singing cod/fish mounted on the plaque 😂

Billy the Bass!! 🐟

A potato ricer. It is supposed to make mashing easier. Well the one I had didn't, not unless you had biceps like Popeye, and the thing was a pain in the arse to clean. Off it went to the charity shop, and good riddance.

I think I'm using this thread in the wrong way - I'm about to buy some glassguard mould gel, I'm very curious now about purdy and fig, and I'm slightly tempted by a Kung Fu singing hamster.

I love bird and blend tea and my nutribullet. No regrets there.

Soup maker though - I used it a lot at first but now can't remember when I last used it. It just takes up space in a cupboard.

Me too!!!
I'm now tempted to buy some Halara shorts, just been googling real nordic socks and am tempted to buy a bloody crimpit!!!!!
I need help 🤦‍♀️

I hadn't heard of any of these things except the appliances (steam mops, air fryer etc). I must live under a rock 😄

Don't get the crimpit as they are actually shit.

AhBiscuits · 31/05/2026 11:42

In fact you can have mine if you want.

Runningswanker · 31/05/2026 12:17

I think I've been pretty fortunate, the only one I can think of is Boody underwear and I became a convert! It's not sexy but I gave up on underwire somewhere around covid.

moggerhanger · 31/05/2026 12:41

I found the wrap Crimpit is quite good for making pasties.

Skyflier · 31/05/2026 13:17

I love this thread. It makes me feel better that I’m not the only gullible fool who gets sucked in with the hype 😂

Oh no I bloody love my Color Wow stuff!

Squirrelchops1 · 31/05/2026 15:01

Holy Gels...someone asked if anyone likes them
I do, they're fab but you do know they have to be cured they're not just stick on and go.

FirstDayonthePlanet · 31/05/2026 15:25

Tymo hair smoothing tool : excellent quality and did what it claimed. So much so I bought the curling device, also excellent.

Sleeping mask with built in headphones. Terrible. I think maybe there’s a legit brand which is ok. But from the Facebook ad I used I got a comically large foam thing with small hard round speakers embedded randomly in the sides, not at all aligned to where human ears would be that dug into your skull when lying on your side.
The controls were on the forehead (also embedded in foam) and you had to poke yourself in the head super hard to play/pause etc. had them on for about 11 minutes, followed by a further 3 years gathering dust in my bedside drawer.

AutismPosts · 31/05/2026 15:34

A rescue cat. I love her very much really but she is currently sleeping on the only peony that has grown in my garden. 🤣

Philips hair laser thing. I know that I'm never consistent with using electrical beauty things so they are always a waste of money. It's had some effect on my under arm hairs but really all it's done is made them too thin for me to be able to use the epilator I was using quite happily before. So now I have to shave every week instead of epilating once a month. I really should try again.

Instinct1 · 31/05/2026 15:38

The SlapChop. Absolute shit. And dangerous!

AutismPosts · 31/05/2026 15:38

A hot brush. I love my Babyliss big hair so why I thought I needed a hot brush I dont know but it damaged my hair after a 3/4 uses to the point where I had to have a few inches cut off.

Dyson hairdrier. It's ok but nothing special.

That whizzy top shower cleaner is the worst most useless thing I’ve ever bought!

I recently picked one up for a tenner in a local charity shop, and while it's bloody useless on bathroom tiles it's turned out to be pretty good at cleaning and buffing up the vinyl flooring in our kitchen. DH is delighted with it as he no longer has to kneel down and scrub the floor (he's getting old and stiff).

GooseCreekandtheRiver · 31/05/2026 15:56

I am do easily influenced, I now have a Tymo brush on the way thanks to @FirstDayonthePlanet 🙄😅

One of the best things I've ever spent money on. DP & I use it almost daily. 15 mins means the knots in my back are reduced, but the real benefit is total relaxation & shut off. I'm so relaxed I can fall asleep.

I've bought 2 as gifts. Cheaper imitations are not the same. If you're up for selling it on & it's the right level PM me.

You've convinced me to give it another go! It's the medium strength one. Maybe I should have started with the most gentle.
