Just seen a woman wearing a red boob tube with a grubby white strapped bra. If she can’t find a strapless bra that fits, why buy and wear boop tubes or any other clothing that shows off bra straps. Not a good look.

Why do women think it’s ok to wear clothes like this

Exactly. OP is probably the type to clutch her pearls and gasp in dismay when she sees a woman breasfeeding her baby in public! Wink

Breastfeeding obvs

I don’t like floral dresses, culottes, fascinators and clam diggers. Others do and that’s fine.

Judevalentine · Yesterday 19:11

Oh no!

I grew up panicking about my bra strap showing and not being able to wear many tops in case it happened - going braless was not an option as I’m booby. It’s been such a relief not to worry about that any more as I thought people were no longer uptight about it. There are also so many pretty bra straps that become part of the outfit.

I didn’t realise people like the OP were still judging.

Oooooh I may start doing this

Go for it! I'm probably way too old to be wearing neon bras, but sod it.

There's some great ones on Amazon and they're a reasonable price.

Oh god not a bra strap! Call the police!

Just 101, to log it?

suburburban · Yesterday 19:14

Ooh strapless bras give me a weird shape, they didn’t used to

Do you think? I feel like it shows someone at least thought about it?

It looks like a failure. You can see the intended effect and you can see even more clearly that it failed.

Actual straps just look like part of an intended aesthetic. You might not like the aesthetic but it's better than a failed attempt to be invisible.

Because it's ok for people to wear any clothes they want, no one has to dress to suit your delicate sensibilities

hahabahbag · Yesterday 19:17

I’d take the bra strap over some of the sights today! One bit of sun and people loose any sense of decency in the clothing department. I don’t want to see bum cheeks, your breasts hanging out or rolls of fat - I’m not a skinny woman myself and manage to cover all the above

God i hate facinators with a passion, but sparkly hair slides are fine, i love a stylish french comb! Some things just give a gut reaction, it's not rational but it's cool that we're not all the same.

I’m a fan of women wearing whatever the hell they like as long as I don’t have to see their privates! I don’t have to like their style choices.

Edited

I was at Nando’s recently in the queue, there was a young woman wearing thin cotton pale blue skin tight hot pants and a crop top. Could literally see every detail of her vulva. She might as well have not bothered with the shorts and just painted herself pale blue.
I mean her choice and all that, my only thought was that she was incredibly brave wearing skintight pale blue with no knickers… a slight bit of bodily fluid would stand out a mile! My conclusion was she must have been wearing a tampon to prevent and fluids escaping! Yes I seriously overthought this while in the queue 😂

No outfit should be causing you to think of bodily fluids 🤣 it sounds horrendous.

I'd be terrified about sneezing!

Bra strap-tacky
Grubby bra strap-slovenly

chillyputsomesockson · Yesterday 19:33

@Anonemousse yes me too! These were all the thoughts going through my mind! 😂

TotalBaloney · Yesterday 19:34

I wouldn’t wear that combination myself. Couldn’t give a shit what other people wear though.

GagaBinks · Yesterday 19:34

I honestly, and I mean this very sincerely, could not give two shits how other people dress. Absolutely zero of my business.

AgnesMcDoo · Yesterday 19:35

It’s not a great look but I struggle to care

A menstrual cup would be a better option.
nb NOT talking from experience of tiny pale shorts!

Yet on the thread yesterday about what secondary aged girls wear to school this is all totally fine and just normal bodies.

fancypantss · Yesterday 19:38

I can't get upset about straps.

Most of us, as we grow up, realise that the content of our character matters far more than what we look like.

I'd rather have an "ugly" bra strap showing than have such ugly thoughts about other women.

ClayPotaLot · Yesterday 19:54

It doesn't sound particularly stylish, but a bra strap isn't in anyway offensive.
