Just seen a woman wearing a red boob tube with a grubby white strapped bra. If she can’t find a strapless bra that fits, why buy and wear boop tubes or any other clothing that shows off bra straps. Not a good look.

Why do women think it’s ok to wear clothes like this

Not something I would do but I really couldn't get het up over other people dressing that way, or whatever way they want to.

In fact, I rather doubt that I would even notice.

She might've thought it looked amazing but it probably didn't. On my estate I see lots of women buying scratch cards in their pyjamas - in the afternoon. They might think they look amazing too, but they really don't. I personally wouldn't have started a thread about any of it though. But since the subject arose, here I am giving my opinion. Isn't that one of the points of this forum?

Why would anyone be wearing their pyjamas in this heat? Confused And in the afternoon too, when it's even hotter?

I always hear about this on here..... 'mums off the estate going to the shops in their pyjamas,' but I have yet to see it in real life. I don't live on an 'estate' but when I lived near to one when I lived in a town, (and I used to use the little shopping precinct grocery shop,) I never saw it then either!

Underwear should be worn under clothes not showed off

@longlocks the cost of some of it justifies it being showed off the the hilts! 😂

F me have i tiime travelled back to 1995.

Noshadelamp · Yesterday 18:23

How do you know that isn't her only bra?

Would you be commenting if it was a strappy vest top that was well worn and "grubby"?

As the kids used to say, check your privilege.

Humanswarm · Yesterday 18:23

Why do women think its okay to judge others like this? That's a more reasonable question.

No, that was when we were showing all kinds of things

I'm with the OP - a boob tube is designed to be worn with a strapless bra or no bra. It doesn't look good worn with visible bra straps, grubby or otherwise!
Just because a person is entitled to wear what they like, it doesn't mean that other people can't have an opinion about it. I think it looks bad and it's not that hard to wear a normal t shirt if you don't have the right bra for a particular top.

I’m with OP too

There is also a vest top hate thread going, with added dollops of bodyshame

Yes!! Some of my bras cost more than a family
meal out 🤣 big boobs and pretty means ££££ and definitely no strapless.

Its amazing the amount of grubby or worn bits of underwear that's showing these days. But it's the 21st century so that's ok - there's a COL crisis dontcherknow 🙄

Was it actually grubby or just discoloured? I wear clothes until they're worn out, because I don't want to send clothes to landfill.

Ladies and men are able to wear clothes of their own choice, as long as private parts are covered.

Bloke in the supermarket this morning with the 70s footballer shorts did not note this - there are things that don't need to be hanging lose and on display!

I hate exposed bra straps too. And wearing a strap bra with a strapless top? Not a good look.

So you don’t wear that outfit then, simple

Did they have plums on special offsr? Could get confusing.

I’ve noticed that visible bras is no longer out of fashion or whatever. And that people wear normal bras with all sorts of tops that in the past people would probably have bought a strangely shaped bra for. It’s quite a practical attitude!

I saw a woman with a beautiful back less dress wearing a standard bra. I assume she liked the look

Yes, I noticed this too. When I was in my "night out" days, it was all invisible strap, diamanté straps, and criss crossey and strapless bras, god I feel old now!!

In your opinion.

It's like sliders and socks. People love them or hate them....

What makes your opinion the correct one?

Nothing.

Indeed. And it's ALWAYS women judging women.

I live on a sprawling council estate in a large city. Believe me, there are loads of women (mostly young'ish mothers) who never get out of their pyjamas. I am not making it up!

There are a few who do the school run here in pjs. Men and women!

Now that I do judge. Because that’s lazy lazy that’s not bad dress sense it’s just can’t be arsed to get dressed after bed.

I didn't say it was correct did I, but it's still my opinion. And I'll tell you what, my opinion also stretches to sliders and socks, bras and boob tubes and regularly wearing your pyjamas to the shops!
