Concerns over neighbours lifestyle choices.

So my neighbours teenage son has been smoking doobies in the garden with his parents consent. His father is a policeman and actually a firearms officer. I'm concerned that he may be using Ur at least getting high from the passive smoking. I want to report him to his superiors but DH is adamantly against it and says I'm being dramatic. Really between a rock and a hard place. AIBU if I report him?

Don't pretend this is anything more than you just hating the smell of it. I hate the smell of it too, and my next door neighbour smokes it every weekend out his garden, just over the wall from me. I get that it is a pain, but reporting the dad is OTT

I’m not a weed smoker myself but often joke that the whole of my town must be high from passive smoking as you can smell it everywhere. But honestly, I’d take the stoners over the drunkards any day!

I’m probably just brain dead from inhaling too much smoke from the neighbour smoking a “doobie” a few weeks ago. Thankfully, I’m not a firearm officer.

Of course there's no dilemma. I'd be making friends with the cop next door, they make very handy neighbors IME. Not thinking about reporting them for passive weed smoking - that is bonkerdoodles batshit.
