Hmm, something isn't ringing quite right. The antisemitism is genuine, as is the paranoia, but without wishing to reveal too much about myself, I know quite a lot of affluent middle class Londoners and don't get me wrong, they're definitely capable of being pompous and wonky, but they're not usually this... performative? I mean, they don't generally have to tell you how rich and middle class and London they are? They're more... self assured, in that way of people who just are what they are? Often don't even realise their privilege because it's their normal.

Anyway, still seeking suggestions for a povvo provincial charity to honour the charmer. TIA.

They are funded entirely by donations from the local Jewish population and the odd non Jewish person in the local area.
They have their own phone number and anyone in their call out area can phone them instead of 999 and get the same treatment that a st John's ambulance or NHS ambulance would including emergency treatment on route to hospital.
They fund full paramedic traing for the volunteers who staff them aswell as the equipment and supplies that are needed.
They are a global charity and have branches all over the world where there's Jewish communities.
I'm not Jewish but did use them when I was living abroad and had need. Honestly I couldn't fault them and they dont charge like many private ambulance services do. I did help with some fundraising when I recovered until we moved and meet some lovely people through it.

They would even help you. Which is probably more than you would.

Reading the posts on this thread alone yes, @coulditbeme2323 I agree that what the Green Party Leader did was evil. It doesn't him him evil as a person but his action facilities hatred and misinformation and that is populist, shrewd and divisive. He is the leader of a main British party and has no problem whatsoever triggering a chain reaction of online hate against a minority and actively distract from the attacks. We do have some immoral politicians these days, don't we?Kemi Badenoch doesn't seem to be quite as bad as the rest, despite her handling of the post office scandal. Need to work hard to keep both Nigel and Zack / David out. Will donate to my main local party also to help will keep these horrible politicians as far as possible away from power.

I take that point and understand the sentiment, but I don't think we need further examples on here of how antisemitism looks - social media will show it all, and usually with less bloviation - and I think Jewish posters shouldn't have to be confronted with it. If people get to hear that blatantly racist posts stand on MN, we'll get more of them, all feeding off each other like some shit antisemitic orgy/banquet (the Greens' annual conference?)

If nothing else, it always pisses people off to get posts deleted so it's worth it for that.

I rather think Rowley has a duty to defend and protect his officers from misinformation during a live terror investigation that could put them in danger or lower their morale.

The commuter cops things on the other hand is ridiculous. How should cops afford London prices, many professions commute to London. There is some seriously poor reputation management on this thread it's so badly done.

I'll make sure to take ds out for a nice walk and coffee this weekend. He is doing politics a levels and I am keen to discuss this news topic in depth. So much to talk about and to teach. I will also tell him about the Jewish ambulance service and the rhetoric anti semtic people use to try and undermine the good work. It's so interesting as well as saddening to see how anti semitism is perpetuated, the same centuries old myths. I will ensure that my offspring are very well educated on these things, they already are but its work in progress.

That is not the same as saying "how stupid and ignorant British people are". I do think that the "all must have prizes" era of education in the UK has a lot to answer for. It's raised a generation of people who cannot engage with material in front of them but just spew out emotional responses.
