You have to be joking? This man previously attacked a police officer who was out of work for 5 months.
It wouldn’t be excessive had he been shot straight between the eyes, never mind a kick.
He was definitely still in fight mode when kicked, I thought the Police were very brave, especially in today’s society when sympathy lies with the attacker. Good for them.
I would imagine the police in his native country take no bull shit.

Oh dear, I can't believe you have posted that. The only people conflating the war in Israel with British Jews, are the violent, terrorist thugs who are continually attacking these communities.

Oh this is clearly BS though. The conflation of the two is from across the political spectrum spectrum.

But OP clearly did that in the post where she labelled anti-Israel protests anti-semitic.

Whysnothingsimple · 30/04/2026 18:33

glitterpaperchain · 30/04/2026 18:29

I posted because OP has said that condemning both the police and the terrorist is stupid, and that anyone criticising the police here really just hates Jews.

I disagree with you insisting that no one thinks this was an example of police brutality when many on this thread have said they think they used unnecessary force. I've been watching the thread on and off all day and plenty have said that.

Yes, and quite frankly they are wrong, I don’t think the police used unreasonable force at all given the circumstances, the police’s actions undoubtedly saved lives. . They are 1. Trying to make the terrorist into a victim and 2. Take the spotlight away from the appalling antisemitism that is rife in this country by going -“look over there”

We need to ensure that such unsubtle attempts to take the spotlight off antisemitism doesn’t work.

Sigh. I didn't say no-one thinks this is an example of police brutality. Obviously, several people on the thread do.

Theslummymummy · 30/04/2026 18:15

Kicking someone in the head is not reasonable force. Had a taser, hadn't used it at that point. He's not evil, he's very sensible.

And yet another person just repeating stuff not grasping what the situation is!

Zach is an ambitious megalomaniac who only cares about his own power, he will say and do whatever he needs to to get it

This is what you said

Allisnotlost1 · 30/04/2026 18:18

Yes, I was being sarcastic because it’s plain as day you weren’t being sincere at all. It goes without saying (for most of us) that we hope nobody - whether we like their comments or not - is the victim of a terror attack. You can disagree with him without stooping so low. Or maybe you can’t, I don’t know.

It was a disgusting implication and you know it. ‘Ooh, hope this Jewish man I don’t like doesn’t get hurt’. And doubling down suggesting it may teach him empathy. Disgusting.

And you can’t even spell axolotl. Unforgivable.

Edited

I was being sincere.
You know that. You're making up accusations

This thread is moving quickly, and I understand that perhaps you're not quite understanding things which are being said., so I will give you the benefit of the doubt.
Just take a bit more time to read what is written.
Not what you imagine.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 30/04/2026 18:08

This is a really serious matter so i'll leave it at this:

Should an unwell Jewish man, angry at how British Jews have been treated, like most of us normal people, 'decides to go and do something about it' at attack someone black or asian -

You would stay quiet should two black/Asian officers kick him in the head and face???

You would applaud this behaviour as part of justice???

Because I dont think you would, I think that the thread would be very different.

What this disgusting man did to two innocent men, one brave man named Shloime, is unforgivable.

Yes he is mentally ill, thats what is often behind these kinds of things, but he is also a hateful bigot. But nobody in police custody or being arrested needed to be kicked in the head like that, by police. Thats insane and unlawful.

The police officers imo are racist and behaved appallingly. The man is guilty of a hate crime, if not a terror offense and will be sentenced to Life, as he should be.

My heart is with the Shloime and the other man, the Jewish community-who are normal good people, and noone else.

Edited

If you are going to accuse someone of crimes, you should be able to back that u by stating how the legal definition has been met. Can you do that, or are you just going to throw round accusations of racism without anything to back that up?

What's bs? I'm not sure where you're going with that. I'll be clearer to avoid confusion, the British Jewish community living in the UK is now under daily threat from acts of anti Semitic, violent hate crime precisely because these terrorists are conflating Israel with people who happen to be Jewish. No ifs, no buts. It's happening. Who else is doing this? Who else is being targeted?

Whysnothingsimple · 30/04/2026 18:49

tilyougetenough · 30/04/2026 17:39

They could have done that without kicking him in the head.

I guess some people are happy with an increasingly violent police force. I am not, and I will always maintain that view.

If you were walking down a street with your child and some terrorist in a big coat on a warm day started stabbing people round you, what level of violence would you be willing to use to stop that person stabbing and potentially blowing up (wearing an unsuitably hot coat on a hot day would indicate in police training it might be hiding something like a suicide best) your child? Would you hope a stern talking to would work?

Whysnothingsimple · 30/04/2026 18:50

And the threat level has just been raised so another attack is highly likely.

Aislyn · 30/04/2026 18:51

Zach Polanski has hit a new low with this.

Police used reasonable force against a man who was armed with a knife, who could potentially have had a suicide vest.

They followed training when he didn't drop his knife after being tasered.

who used to make a living by offering hypnosis for breast enlargement

Honestly anyone who believes this is either wilfully ignorant or just plain ignorant. It is literally not true. People really have nothing on the guy, this is the kind of rubbish they try and take him down with because there's nothing else on him

There is a video of him doubling down on this it's definitely true.

CornishDaughteroftheDawn · 30/04/2026 18:59

I presume you can't believe it, because it isn't true?

The Green Party's co-leader is calling for the Home Office to be scrapped in a radical shake-up of immigration policy.
Jonathan Bartley said the department was "pernicious" in its treatment of people and a new Ministry for Sanctuary should oversee a "fairer" system.

BIossomtoes · 30/04/2026 12:58

We’re training officers to kick people in the head? Really?

Yup, it distracts him while they struggle to get the knife off him and hopefully takes his mind off letting off a bomb strapped to himself if he'd had one.

Policemen involved are heroes, lucky only two people were badly hurt. I hope the Policemen get medals.

He is posting all sorts of inflammatory and strange things all over MN today!

But that is how they did it. The other officer moved his arms in the end.

Edited

After they subdued him by using various methods including a couple of kicks to the head 🤷‍♀️

Hoardasurass · 30/04/2026 19:04

nomas · 30/04/2026 17:58

You do what the police training tells you and which the video shows - secure his arms. The kicks in the head didn't work.

Edited

But the training tells them to kick the terrorist under these circumstances

CornishDaughteroftheDawn · 30/04/2026 19:05

Anyahyacinth · 30/04/2026 17:33

Yes you could argue calling Zack P "evil" is antisemitic

You could ‘argue’ that but you wouldn’t be right. It’s not his ‘Jewishness’ that has prompted the accusation, but his behaviour.

Yikez.

It's true.

If you think a terrorist might have a bomb and you have a gun you use lethal force as fast as possible. Same if you are being attacked with a knife. Both were true in this case, both are a direct threat to life and both would have justified shooting.

CornishDaughteroftheDawn · 30/04/2026 19:07

tilyougetenough · 30/04/2026 17:39

Have you ever had to subdue a knife wielding murderous maniac? I’d love to hear how you did it better.

Lalgarh · 30/04/2026 19:09

Polanski has claimed he models himself on Farage for his populism and admirers as an eco populist.

Although the amount of manifesting with ZP who's said he was bullied at school for being Jewish with Farage who was accused of horrendous anti semitism at school seems...a bit... Freudian?

Guess which one of them visited Golders Green today

DannyDeever · 30/04/2026 19:13

Kicking someone in the head is absolutely reasonable force where there's direct risk to life which there was in spades here.

It's also a legitimate distraction technique which is trained for.
