Where have I said that? Your post makes zero sense?

I’m referring to the OP. Are you even following the chain of posts?

‘People sleep peaceably in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf’

It would be sufficient were the hand-wringing wets simply to STFU, rather than criticising the police for protecting lives.

Yes, maybe write a coherent argument and then people would be able to follow what you’re saying, at the moment it just seems quite a lot of anger with little coherency tbh.

can you please summarise your point/argument here

And the Jean Charles de Menezes shit show is not the same as this. That was incompetence from the top down. Just sheer incompetence.

Also armed officers. Completely different situation.

Honestly all these anti police idiots should be made to do some police shifts to find out what they have to face (and the fact the idiots make their lives harder). If their kid was getting stabbed in front of them would they like a police officer to employ some calming breathing techniques?

I think they've got too used to soft policing at the hate marches. Also Palestine Action getting away with violence against the police.

I hope the Greens have a massive spotlight put on them over this. Their leader claims to be Jewish but I suspect doesnt practise or maybe he could be lying to ensure that he can bash the Jewish community whilst potentially being one of them.

He is Jewish. My husband was at school with him at a Jewish primary school. You don't have to keep kosher or go to shul to still be ethnically Jewish.

HeadHands · 30/04/2026 16:58

I don’t think he is evil. I leave that descriptor for monsters like Netanyahu and the Hamas leaders etc. But I don’t think he should be criticising the police who were in a very frightening situation.

They’re trained for these situations.

Hitler had some Jewish supporters in the beginning. I think people get sidetracked by Zack’s ethnicity. They need to pay closer attention to what he’s saying and how he’s acting

Some people will go to outlandish lengths to try and hide their anti-semitism, such as not condemning the terrorist but the police sent to neutralize the threat.

Who are ‘some people’?

Yes and they, thankfully carried out that training to prevent deaths/further injury to both themselves and the public. I hope they get a medal for their bravery

Ah that explains everything- thank you, what a thoughtful, erudite and well constructed argument you’ve presented there.

Using excessive violence is not something we should ever celebrate. Do you want a police force like in the USA?

It’s perfectly possible to condemn both, it’s not binary.

But it wasn’t excessive violence was it. Tell me, how do you think they should have de armed this terrorist who was wearing a large coat in warm weather (a string signal he could have been hiding say a suicide best) if the armed police had been there they would likely have rightly shot him. These police probably saved lives. Do stick your anti police rhetoric elsewhere.

He was on the floor and restrained. Kicking him in the head was not necessary and I never will think it is. Why oh why would the police open themselves up to potential claims like this?

To be fair if you can’t have a nuanced conversation about how terrorism is bad but police brutality is also bad, I think think you’re not as intelligent as you like to think.

How can you know he doesn’t have an explosive device at that point?
