AIBU for making a harsh comment to DH about our sex life?

DH and I have had issues with our sex life for a while now and I have to admit I resent him for it. He keeps promising to try and improve things but this lasts a couple of days at most.

We had yet another argument this morning, and were shopping this afternoon. On the way back to the car, a man passed us in a vest who’d clearly been to the gym.

DH made a sarky comment to me when we sat in the car about my eyeing him up.

I replied ‘yeah, need to make sure I remember him for when I use my toy tomorrow when you’re working’.

DH snapped that I was out of order. I told him I stand by what I said. I’m just feeling so fed up.

Poor bloke.

Hopefully your husband does to tolerate you speaking to him like you did. If he said similar about a woman in the street I presume you'd be bothered.

OP you are free to leave the relationship if it's making you unhappy. You are not free to demand sex. What's stopping you from leaving?

Well I wouldn't like it if my husband said a comment like that, so no you shouldn't have said it. It's hardly going to help your situation. Sounds like your marriage is dead in the water anyway.

what you said is a thoroughly nasty thing to say to someone. You also appear to be pestering him for more sex than he wants to give. You don’t love this man and are horrible to him. Just divorce for both your sakes.

Maybe he doesn’t fancy you anymore. I’d find it difficult wanting sex with someone who threw nasty comments at me, especially if it was because they thought I wasn’t putting out enough.

My friend had this, repeated promises of more effort but in the end he reverted to type so she shagged someone else & realised life’s too short.

Well I can't imagine why he doesn't want to shag you with such a sunny personality and politeness.

If this is real then that comment was very harsh. Imagine if a man had said something similar. No woman with any self respect would want to stay in that relationship.
