To ask what you did for your 30th birthday?

Just out of curiosity. I have friends who didn’t celebrate at all, but I also have some friends who are going on special holidays etc.

What did you do?

I caught Covid 🤣

I can barely remember to be honest, so probably not much! I’ve never really celebrated my birthday, I don’t like the fuss and it’s a funny time of year. I like other people’s though.

Went on a European city break with my partner.

I got divorced 🫣

I had 30-40 people for a bring and share lunch. It was lovely.

A week away at a caravan park with DH and DD. DD was just a toddler at the time and as I was a SAHM the budget was tight but it was actually a lovely time away, DD loved it.

IWe always go on holiday.

We've done:
Amsterdam/Barcelona 30
Vegas/San Sebastian 40
Maldives and hopefully Japan.50

I went on a European city break and was mugged.

I didn't do anything for my 40th and I won't do anything for my 50th

Had to work, cried quite a lot I think - only ‘big’ birthday that I was upset about.

house party- family, friends, it was one of the best nights of my life

Was pre-kids - did a driving experience at a motorsport circuit. Zooooom!

I had a six month old baby and my husband organised dinner with friends and my sister looked after my ds. It was lovely until one of his friends wives asked for the bill before dessert so we could go back to the pub and she could smoke in the garden (I don’t smoke and was so looking forward to dessert)!! Then we got home and my stepdaughter had had a house party and there were kids and vomit and just a general disaster. I’ll never forget it that’s for sure!

I haven’t turned 30 yet, but it’s very soon… I’m having a weekend away with DP to London where we’ll watch Phantom of the Opera and mooch around some museums. 🥰

I went for a lovely weekend away. Unfortunately I got a rancid chest infection, but I also got engaged. Still married now about a million years later.

I had a party in a pub for friends and family. It was great fun.

I had DS1 and was pregnant with DS2. I remember birthday cake and presents and family and friends.

Went to Iceland for a long weekend.

it was lovely.

husband had a party for his but that wasn’t for me

line of coke for the first and only time and danced till in heels till I broke a toe. Honestly quite out of character 😆

I was in hospital having given birth to DD a few days earlier.

Last big party. Came off the pill a week or two later.

I had 3 friends round for a campfire in the garden. It was during the 6 people gatherings part of lockdown.

I had such severe shingles I ended up in hospital on the day and night of my 30th! Made up for it a year later with a spa hotel weekend in the Cotswolds with DH

I had an 8 week old baby, so we managed to have a meal out in a local restaurant just the two of us and hurried back home to the kids. Not the most exciting but I was happy!
