Anti valuers are dumb and pathetic

Beautifulsiro56 · 18/03/2026 23:39

Anti-vaxxers shouldn’t even consider having children until they develop a basic sense of responsibility.

I’m beyond frustrated hearing about measles outbreaks again and again. I fully understand that some parents genuinely cannot vaccinate their children using live vaccines due to legitimate medical conditions that weaken the immune system, but outside of those rare cases, there is no excuse apart from being totally and utterly DUMB and people that are do dumb and irresponsible should not be reproducing..

What don’t you understand that I have a letter from the hospital. I really don’t give a flying fuck what you think. God, is no one allowed an opinion that doesn’t agree with your’s. Go away and find a hobby. I made a comment if you don’t like it scroll on by and stop trying to call me a liar and vilify me. Nasty piece of work.

I'm trying to educate and inform. If that makes me a nasty piece of work in your eyes then that says way more about you than me

YABU

Clearly, you've never lost a child due to the worst vaccination side effect, i.e. death.

Your post is repulsive and highly ignorant.

Evidence? The OP's post is very sensible actually. Death is more likely to happen to someone if they're not vaccinated and then catch something awful.

But that’s in your opinion. I’d rather listen to people like Malhotra

randomchap · 21/03/2026 14:40

This Malhotra?

Really? Are you sure he's trustworthy? Doesn't look like it to me

Yesitsmeimback · 22/03/2026 18:35

Any controversial topics like anti vax, abortion ect the comments always read like facebook not mumsnet.

I do like the fact that many of the posters here would also say they thought authoritarianism was an awful thing.

sickofthissick · 22/03/2026 19:43

My adult daughter was taken by exh to get her mmr. It was relatively new then but obviously I wanted her to have it as I can still remember have measles as a 7 year old.

It was only two years ago, when her medical records were looked at before she started a medical degree, that we both found out he hadn't taken her at all.

He is a massive conspiracy theorist and was furious when his other two children went and had their covid jabs, but I had absolutely no idea he'd put our daughter in such harms way so long ago.
I was furious (as was she)

Are you comparing vaccines with authoritarian governments? Wow

People are suggesting that.accepting standard childhood UK vaccines is a good idea (unless advised against by a qualified doctor who is aware of your child's medical history) because the benefits outweigh the potential harms. Advice is being offered based on published scientific evidence.
@TheTideIsNigh can you explain what that has to do with authoritarianism?

People are doing and saying a lot more than just that on this thread.

Owlbookend · 22/03/2026 21:41

The vast majority of people on this thread are trying to highlight the risks associated with childhood diseases and how vaccines can protect children from these risks.

@TheTideIsNigh as (from what you have said above) think vaccines are a good idea it seems best to focus on that central message. Not make vague suggestions of 'authoritarianism'.

Aseem Malhotra is a British cardiologist and author, whose COVID-19 vaccine and anti-statin views have been criticised as misinformation by experts.

of course he’s been criticised. Anyone that goes against big pharma is criticised. Google any natural product that’s being used for years safely, Google will tell you it’s not recognised. Look up British Supplements read what he says about Big Pharma. I’ve never met anyone that regrets not having the covid jab but I’ve met plenty that do. We have a different opinion ( people do it’s normal) but to me anyone that trusts Big Pharma is a lemming. Read up on Statins, it’s an awful drug, why do they keep lowering the range for prescribing it? Germany has the highest cholesterol levels and yet the lowest heart conditions, try plant sterols I take them and it lowered mine. Anyway I have a new topic to defend and I’m bored with this one so I won’t be reading anymore comments.

It's not opinion, it's well researched scientific facts.

He's not a good person to follow. Try reading some of the criticism of him. Look at this with an open mind.

You are being lied to. These lies are putting children at risk of harm.

You do not have to continue down this route.

I don't want to go down the insult path but the only lemmings are the antivaxxers who believe charlatans and fraudsters

randomchap · 23/03/2026 11:01

Would you like to highlight how we should protect children from polio, TB and measles without vaccines?
What do you mean by natural products? What is there mode of action? What credible scientific research supports there use?
Do you reject all modern medicine (big pharma) or is it specifically vaccines you have a problem with?
