To ask what theatre productions you’re attending or wish to attend?

I have Phantom of the Opera and Pride: The Musical booked, which are within the next few weeks.

I’ll also buy tickets for Operation Mincemeat and Owain and Henry soon, which are later on in the year.

What about you?

I have 42 shows booked this year and still booking. In April I am seeing: The Secret Garden, Starlight Express, Come from Away, 2:22 a Ghost Story, Hello Dolly, The Bodyguard and The Red Shoes.

In June I'm doing a 6 day trip to London and have booked: Beetlejuice, High Society, The Devil Wears Prada, Paddington, Les Mis (Royal Albert Hall), The Play that Goes Wrong, Showstopper, The Mousetrap, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Phantom of the Opera.

In October I'm doing a 5 day trip to London and have booked: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Sinatra the Musical, Wicked, Come Alive, Witness to the Prosecution, The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies in Concert and Hadestown. I'm waiting to see what else will be showing as I have 2 matinees and an evening show to fill, I'm hoping Titanique will extend and I can see it.

I live outside the UK and The Car Man is touring to my country in the autumn. Definitely going to book it!

I’m going to The Car Man - I think in October? Not sure, friend booked the tickets. Took my dd to Swan Lake last year (or maybe year before - time is racing away) and she was mesmerised - I’d seen it before but I’d forgotten how good it is.

I’ve also got The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui coming up at the RSC - starring Mark Gatiss and with music by Placebo - can’t wait!

Did anyone manage to get to The Weir with Brendan Gleason? I really wanted to see it but left it too late and couldn’t get tickets.

I'm off to see legally blonde on Tuesday :) also saw Operation Mincemeat a few months ago and have Mrs Doubtfire booked.
I also love the amateur ones round my area - I live in a very talented area where all the amateur ones are amazing (and I am very lucky to have been in the chorus of a few before having children!)

I love the amateur ones! The quality locally is far from amateur!

I’d really like to see Theatr Clwyd’s production of Under Milk Wood, which is currently touring.

Has anyone seen it yet, by any chance?

Update to previous post: Matilda was fantastic, absolutely spell-binding. The talent, focus and sheer fitness of the children involved is just incredible. I've seen it once before on the West End but wanted to take my youngest daughter who wasn't born then.

I'd also like to take her to see Totoro, but that would require a trip to London.

I've now been cast in an amateur production of The Wolves of Willoughby Chase in June. A downside of doing so much theatre as a hobby is we often don't have time to go to the theatre and have usually used up the goodwill of grandma's babysitting service by the end of the last curtain call. 😂
