I have Phantom of the Opera and Pride: The Musical booked, which are within the next few weeks.

I’ll also buy tickets for Operation Mincemeat and Owain and Henry soon, which are later on in the year.

What about you?

What do people think of Mean Girls? I’ve been tempted by this a couple of times but then couldn’t decide.

I really want to see Waitress & Back to the Future. I’m going to book tickets but both fall in school hols for when they are close to me so I’m holding off whilst we figure out when we can go.

I’m intrigued by the Back to the Future Musical. I may see that one. There are so many theatre shows, but so little money!

I saw hunger games a few weeks ago. I have tickets already booked this year for woman in black, miss Saigon, Paddington , Jesus Christ superstar and Heathers. Love a theatre trip!

JustMeHello · 07/03/2026 19:16

No No no, this thread is a terrible influence. I can't spend any money on my credit card til after the 10th.

KimonoQueen · 07/03/2026 19:21

Ive had to curb my theatre habit as ive got some hospital shizz happening. We live close enough to London to travel in and Im on a Facebook theatre tickets group (but its still not a cheap night out!)

Still got Paddinton next week, High Society at the Barbican in June and Jesus Christ Superstar in July though

Saw Shadowlands thought Hugh Bonneville was brilliant. And Into the Woods was terrific as well.

I’m going to Mathew Bourne’s The Red Shoes in April. Can’t wait!

It's fantastic, I'm sure you'll enjoy it

We saw it a few years ago. It's mesmerising Just loved it, we still talk about it now.
Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake is just the most amazing ballet I have ever seen.

I loved Swan Lake, but since I was young I'd wanted somebody to create the Red Shoes for the stage. I nearly died when I heard Matthew Bourne was doing it. I took my Nana down to Sadlers Wells to see it when it was first on and it's just an amazing memory.

LyndaSnellsSniff · 07/03/2026 19:44

Lots of touring productions booked. I saw The Signalman earlier this week, The Spitfire Girls in a couple of weeks, then The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Glorious, Thespians, The Woman In Black. I'm also going to see Matthew Bourne's Cinderella at Sandler's Wells at Christmas.

For those going to see Operation Mincemeat or 2.22 for the first time, they are both BRILLIANT!

It is absolutely beautiful ❤️

I totally forgot we also went to Hunger Games a few weeks ago - it was much better than the reviews

Only saw it on broadway. Pretty good, very much in the spirit of the film. 'Apex predators is a great tune.

I have a few booked mostly with my dd(s)

Waitress
Greatest Showman
Heathers
Legally Blond
Paddington

my dd both want to see Hamilton again with Leslie Odom Jr but I’m guessing will be pricey and we only saw it last summer.

We loved Waitress!

Notellinganyone · 07/03/2026 19:51

Just been to see Headlong’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Bristol Old Vic - set in winter and bonkers but great.

ThatInbetweenBigCoatAndJacketWeather · 07/03/2026 19:52

We’ve seen/got these booked for this year:

2:22
Paddington
Heathers
Mamma Mia
Legally Blonde

I’d love to see Blood Brothers again as it’s one of my all time favourites

HannahinHampshire · 07/03/2026 19:57

Going to The Red Shoes and To Kill a Mockingbird in Southampton this month. Have seen Dear England, Miss Saigon and Fawlty Towers this year (also all in Southampton). Always loved theatre but ex would never go with me so it’s been lovely to get back into the habit again!

inmyfashion · 07/03/2026 19:59

In the next couple of weeks - Summefolk at the NT, American Psycho at the Almeida and John Proctor is the Villain at the Royal Court. Particularly excited for the last one!

Really want to book for the Game of Thrones play at the RSC, I think it will be my last play before I give birth so want to make sure I see it if possible.

Globules · 07/03/2026 20:00

Saw a local am dram production of Come from Away last weekend. Oh my word. The quality was on a par with the west end version, which I saw twice.

I've got tickets for
The Last Five Years
Rocky Horror
Dracula
Jesus Christ Superstar

And I'll be faster finger first for Ham tickets for the summer.

Theatreobsessed · 07/03/2026 20:16

Have so many booked this year! Harold fry (seen it once already and it was great), ballad lines, avenue Q, starlight express, Beetlejuice, Paddington as well as various others!

musicals are my favourite thing so any ‘spare’ money tends to go on trips

Ophy83 · 07/03/2026 20:22

I saw Prima Facie in Canterbury a couple of days ago. Jodie Comer was wonderful.

We have a comedy night coming up and DH has just booked Inter Alia for a couple of months' time. I also want to book something fun to take DD and her BFF to as an end-of-primary-school celebration

NeedWineNow · 07/03/2026 20:28

We’ve got La Fille Mal Gardee and Dracula at Sadlers Wells booked for June but nothing else. I quite fancy Billy Elliot and Hamilton and definitely Paddington which I hope DH will book for my birthday 🤞

ClaredeBear · 07/03/2026 21:01

Paddington, The Red Shoes, Barnum, Annie, Cats and Owain and Henry. I’d love to see Jesus Christ Superstar, especially with the new kings!

ClaredeBear · 07/03/2026 21:03

Saw Prima Facie just recently (amazing!)) and All My Sons. I was seriously underwhelmed by Brian Cranston’s type casting.
