I have Phantom of the Opera and Pride: The Musical booked, which are within the next few weeks.

I’ll also buy tickets for Operation Mincemeat and Owain and Henry soon, which are later on in the year.

What about you?

Dd1 and I are going to see Matilda on Mother's day. I didn't realise I had booked it for Mother's day, it was more of a treat for her birthday at the end of the month but I love the book so no complaints here. We've been to see Frozen and Wicked together and she went to see Mary Poppins with her dad. I would like to see Death on the Nile.

Hagnarok · 07/03/2026 13:45

Recently watched to Kill a Mockingbird which was really well done, upcoming we’ve got Silence of the Lambs, Mean Girls and Paranormal Activity. I love a good scare so hoping for a good atmosphere for the last one.

ClawsandEffect · 07/03/2026 13:49

I want to take DC to see My Neighbour Totoro but I'm annoyed that it's only in residency, with no plans to go on tour. I don't want to travel to London (a big distance for us) just to see it.

Liondoesntsleepatnight · 07/03/2026 13:51

The Devil wears Prada again is on my radar, Hamilton, Les Mis, hades Town again and maybe back to the future before it ends. Theatre is my thing.

highly recommend Single White Female - it’s on tour

SwayzeM · 07/03/2026 13:55

Going to see Miss Saigon next month. Would love to see Lion King but it's so expensive to go to London.

follygirl · 07/03/2026 13:59

We saw ‘Into the Woods’ last weekend which was brilliant. I think we’re seeing ‘Inter Alia’ next. We live just outside London and are newly empty nesters so enjoying the freedom of seeing shows.

MillicentMargaretAmanda · 07/03/2026 14:02

Legally Blonde, Allegra, High Society, I'm Sorry Prime Minister, Single White Female and Jersey Boys all already booked. I need to get Jack and Sarah at the Mill at Sonning booked, and I want to see Operation Mincemeat and Avenue Q as definites among others.

BeKhakiReader · 07/03/2026 14:09

This year I’ve got Operation Mincemeat, the kinks musical, Sunny Afternoon, Mousetrap, Barnum, a Sherlock Holmes play, Annie and The Dinosaur Who Pooped.

Wipeywipey · 07/03/2026 14:18

I really wanted to see Prima Facie as the book was amazing and I love Jodie Comer. Tickets on the only day we could go were £95 each though and all booked out way in advance. We've been to the West End cheaper!

I saw this as one of the National Theatre Live type events. If they ever do this again, move heaven and earth to see it. It’s fantastic. But also very hard hitting and moving. I wasn’t the only woman in the audience openly weeping at the end.

AmyWinemouse · 07/03/2026 14:22

I’m going to see Oliver! next week. Taking my mum for afternoon tea at Claridges first, so hoping I don’t nod off in a post pig out snooze 😂

Hillarious · 07/03/2026 14:24

Book of Mormon is great, as is Operation mincemeat.

The National Theatre is usually good for anything, especially for a DH over 6’. Lots of leg room.

I've seen it twice. It's amazing.

We saw it a few years ago. It's mesmerising Just loved it, we still talk about it now.
Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake is just the most amazing ballet I have ever seen.

Yoyokitten · 07/03/2026 14:34

Sorry, mesmerising I meant.
Hope you enjoy it.

snowymarbles · 07/03/2026 14:44

I have a few booked mostly with my dd(s)

Waitress
Greatest Showman
Heathers
Legally Blond
Paddington

my dd both want to see Hamilton again with Leslie Odom Jr but I’m guessing will be pricey and we only saw it last summer.

I loved Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, it was my first ballet and it was so special.

My DM just bought my tickets to see Owain and Henry for my birthday, bless her. I’m so excited to see it. I love Michael Sheen, who will be playing Owain!
